I really respect your honesty because you could’ve just left out the part where you unlocked the splashfruit and continued to Gerudo town and nobody would’ve known

I can feel the sanity meter dropping the moment I see the splash fruit. By the way, if I remember correctly, the Gerudo town gibdos hive cannot be destroyed by loose cannon.

10:14 No, but you can have Link whistle a warning! :D Once again I applaud your tenacity and faithfulness to the rules of your Minimalist Run even when it means losing a lot of time and progress. It felt like the apple Korok Puzzle all over again! I commented before how weird it was for everyone to be handing out rewards left and right, coming from Breath of the Wild where the reward was completing the quest and helping an NPC in and of itself. I guess you should expect to receive something every time an NPC flags Link down and try to avoid those areas like that Gerudo guard in this part, just to be safe?

I don’t remember where I saw this, but I remember hearing that regular explosions (from cannons and bombs) don’t work on the gibdo hives in the gerudo town defense section of the quest because they didn’t want the cannon that you can place at one of the entrances to be able to destroy hives. I’m pretty sure I remember that time bombs work on them still though, so if you can find them 3 of them placed somewhere and bring them across the map to gerudo town during the next part of the quest, you can skip using 3 arrows. Even if there’s less than 3 you can get that’s still fewer arrows used. Alternatively you might be able to go far enough away to respawn the time bomb you’re transporting I’m pretty sure that’s how that works. Since you have another playthrough you can use for testing you should probably test these things first just to be safe in case I’m misremembering. Good luck

If I recall correctly, changes that fix themselves after a blood moon (aka not permanent) are permitted in this run, and there is a way to get a horse with a towing harness without unlocking any item descriptions. In some areas, you'll find bokoblins riding around in horse drawn carts if you kill the bokoblins and steal the cart, you can fuse things to it like usual, and you don't have to register the horse. (I wonder if that would work for the traveling musician quests? Hm.) So, theoretically, you could have done that rather than saying you can't use a horse at 6:03.

I think that’s what he used for the Great Fairy quest, but I don’t really remember. Also horses aren’t allowed in deserts/caves etc. So yeah, that could be a solution, but I don’t know.

Don’t think you can kill the bokoblins since I think there is a hidden exp system which would count as a change

@@Bluetackontire you don't need to kill them though. You only need to headshot them which makes them fall of the horse. There could also be other ways to get off that I can't think of right now.

@@NotVeryCreative1 he mentions it as a potential solution there but the issue with it is that the most recently ridden wild horse will never despawn. so simply riding a wild horse technically creates a permanent change

A side note for when you rebuild the truck to get the cannons (Or any device you need to use for a while), Steering sticks do not despawn, ever. They'll just stick around until the end of time unless you reload your save. So you don't have to worry about the steering stick at all when using Zonai vehicles! Hope this helps!

This one just fell personal, not gonna lie. Once I saw the Gerudo Guard I knew *exactly* what was going to happen. Maybe you could try to put the vehicle in such a way that it goes in the desert first, since the Guard doesn’t react to vehicles, right? if you don’t reach with ultrahand you could maybe drop the bow and spear and glue the whole thing together and then try to push it. Or just try something else altogether. In the end, it’s the thought that counts. Good luck!

Climbing over the ruins works. I tested it out right before I reloaded just to make sure the vehicle doesn't despawn, but I just couldn't continue the run from that part on with a clear conscience, knowing that an optional description had been unlocked. As frustrating as it is, reloading was the only option.

I'm imagining those cave bokos having the mutual experience of watching the most skilled engineer they've ever seen walk in and then out of their lives... stymied only slightly by building too big to leave the cave I'm sure they support boko!link in all his future endeavours. change the reputation of bokos forever! they believe in you! (great work as always, I love your dedication to your challenge as well as your respect for even the smallest of details)

Steering Sticks don't expire, no need to replace them every so often. I wish you the best of luck on the next attempt! Be sure to keep those Cannons around as long as you can.

It was hard to watch the end, I kept screaming in my head OH NO THE GERUDO WHO GIVES AN ITEM WITHOUT ASKING! Btw, I don't know which map you're using but on the "TotK Object Map" (the BEST interactive map to find everything) it shows a cannon on a hill just south east of the dueling peaks (I checked it, it's really there). This one is a little bit closer than the one in the cave, but if you want to build a car I guess the cave is still better.

I checked again and found it - it's indeed closer and there's even a homing cart nearby if I read the map right? That would come in handy during the battle for Gerudo Town. I thik I'll need to make a slight detour next time =P Thanks for the tip ♪

@@WolfLink_justlookingfordragon no problem. Yes, there should be a homing cart at this place as well. Just be careful with the layers when using the object map. It's best to include the word "surface", "cave" (NOT part of surface), "sky" or "depths" at the end of the search. (e.g. cannon surface)
