Tears of the Kingdom gobbled up my life this past year. Not just from being an incredible follow-up to Breath of the Wild, but by constantly reminding me of the game Nintendo has been trying to perfect for over a decade.

Nice, Nick! "Still got it!" I almost fell out of my chair when you pointed out it's only been four months since Tears released.

I would’ve made another video earlier but I was looping the credits song to Skyward Sword for 5 months before I started filming this video. Thanks for still giving the 3DS guy some thought :)

Keep up the great work Nick, & keep creating! 🤝 Appreciate the call back to Zelda on the wii. Some of the original ocarina of time songs/melodies are still stuck in my head. In particular, “Zelda’s Lullaby”, “Lost Woods”, & Ocarina of time’s “title theme”

I appreciate you so much for saying that 😄 and zelda melodies are the whole excuse behind making this video. I really just wanted to drink coffee and blurt out words to Zelda tunes

You are an amazing creator I almost cried at the end of the video as someone who has played every Zelda game and loved all of them this is awesome to to people like me who still love all the games as mush as I do. The point you made about BOTW being more of a test or beta really puts into perspective of why TOTK feels so much more realized and gives an explanation for why some people feel disappointed with TOTK when you view it as the finished product it makes sense. After beating BOTW several times I started feeling empty But TOTK came out and now that I've Beaten it and since gone back and replay BOTW its really does feel like That. sry for long message.~ TL;DR Game good and so are you

Please leave as many long messages as you want! You are amazing! And it means so much that you said that because I spent hours trying to figure out how to make something that other people who have played the entire franchise could resonate with and so it means a lot that this evoked any kind of reaction from you. You rock :)

I dunno. TotK started off as dlc and cause it got so big, they just made it into its own game. I see what you’re saying (also a massive fan of Skyward Sword btw) but if that was the case, then they probably shouldn’t have marketed it as “the direct sequel to BotW”. Especially since that’s what everyone was expecting this to be. When my bro and I got the game after waiting for so many years, it just felt like a slap to the face with Nintendo redoing most of the same exact things again and making it seem like they wanted us to forget BotW even happened so that THIS version is the one to play.

Yo i agree with your view. I remember feeling like playing botw was like a beta. Then tears came and i felt like damn that really was a beta. Tear’s basically redid the story and added more while basically being a loose sequel. Half the time it felt like the calamity didn’t happen. Botw was a cup, tears the water that fills it.
@nikgrgrio

I love that way of putting it, "Tears the water that fills it". Yeah, in many ways, it felt like BOTW didn't even need to happen. But in many other ways, I'm still so glad it did ;)
