The past 3 weeks, I've been playing Death Stranding, non-stop. And this weekend I thought about my approach to beating games and why we emphasize rolling the credits as validation for one's experience with a game.

I really like that you set a motif (intentionally or not) by opening the video talking about taking walks and making that a habit, to then say that games aren’t always about completing them, but being able to exist in them - i.e. just swinging in Spider-Man. Created a good through-line.

I think I've never watched a video that captures the nice atmosphere of "starting easy into the day" so well, I really enjoyed listeting to your thoughts and the nice soundtrack in the background. Also the simple and effective way the video was made, was inspirational for a perfectionist like me, who would be building half of a studio, before he would feel okay to film a video :D Which doesn't mean that your video looks cheap, it looks just right. Like a good balance betweeten professional and easy made. I will also adapt the idea with the color coded list, because I feel really often, that I have to beat games, because they were expensive. To differenciete between beaten, shortly played and played a lot is also very great, because it shows, that even if you haven't beaten a game, you really played it a lot or didn't really experienced it. I guess that's your whole reason, I just wanted to point out why it's so nice. Thx for the nice video!

Honestly made my day because I teeter back and forth with how I view my past videos and if I should’ve put more effort into some of them because I struggle with being a perfectionist too. And it sounds like everything I strived to make this video came through anyway And yeah, that color coded list has helped my guilt and anxiety A LOT when it comes to making sure I really play the games and not just worry about seeing the credits roll and yada yada yada Anyway, you’re awesome :)

yow this is definitely where im at right now you perfectly put my thoughts into words. i've been playing cyberpunk and currently sunk 100 hours in but still haven't beaten the game however it doesn't negate how much i love the game.

Nicholas, you show a lot promise and definitely have potential to be a great channel. But, your biggest issue holding you back is the fact that you never elaborate. Topics such as the ones you consistently pick need depth and substance to be explained. You have to give examples and walk the viewer through your reasoning and mindset. And in my honest opinion you need to focus less on production value and atmosphere and instead really focus on articulating. Even in your newest videos I was left feeling like you barely said anything and often would literally wonder "what was his point?". Like I said your channel has a ton of potential and I truly believe that you have some amazing and interesting ideas, but it pains me to see this issue holding you back. In this video specifically I feel like you never explained the benefit or "value" in not beating a game. This is literally the title of the video. Your entire point could be summarized by the time (around 4:11) you basically said "there is a point to be made that experiences outside of the main story have value". Yet this whole discussion is undermined by the fact that this value stays consistent whether you beat the game or not, and is therefore isolated from the concept of beating the game. I truly want to believe that you had a greater point than that but just failed to articulate it. I know this was probably not the best video to leave this comment on as you admitted that you were kind of just rambling but I thought that I would give my input if it could be of any help. Sincerely, a random commenter with no qualifications that you'll probably never see or listen to.

I genuinely appreciate you being real with me! And this was really useful feedback as I know this to be one of my biggest weaknesses when looking back on my channel. Even after uploading this one, I was like "dude I barely said anything in this video". Thanks for taking even a moment out of your day to listen to me ramble
