You are being too nice but I will take it, lol. If you have question about any of the things I talked about in the videos, just let me know. I feel sometimes I could have explained some topics better. So if there's anything confusing, leave me a message :-)

You said we use Light microscope for cell organelles but on the questions Mitochondria is used electron microscope. Can you explain please?
@professoryu557110 күн бұрын
That's a very good clarification question! What I meant is that you can use a light microscope to see the general outline of some cell organelles. For instance, you can see the location and the general detail of the cell member, cell wall, or a nucleus (we've done cheek epithelial cell staining in class and observed the nucleus of our cheek cells). But you can't see down to the smaller structures inside a cell organelle, right? You can't see all the outer and inner membranes and the cristae inside a mitochondrion with a light microscope. But you can see all those things and other great details inside a mitochondrion with the electron microscope. You can find some comparison photographs online for a particular cell organelle which will give you a better idea of what things look like :)

Thank you Prof Yu for this fantastic video! Have you seen questions on the 5 components of the infection cycle on the TEAS?
@professoryu55712 жыл бұрын
Hi! Thank you for letting me know! :-) No, I have not seen any questions on the 5 components of the infection cycle. But I have been very busy with work and haven't spent much time on this chapter. I know this topic is not mentioned in the TEAS study manual, which is why I did not include in the video. Thank you for bringing that to my attention. I will have to do do some research on this... :-)

Professor Yu, thank you so much for sharing your videos, they are very informative. Do you cover most of the materials from TEAS version 7?
@professoryu55712 жыл бұрын
You are very welcome! Thank you for letting me know! I'm working on covering the TEAS 7 Science section. I have recently wrapped up the anatomy and physiology part and moved on to the life and physical sciences. I also have plans to review the Reading section but I don't know when - the life and physical sciences part has a lot of updates which will take a bit longer for me to review... I hope this helped. Let me know if you have further questions! 😊

As a scientist and somone who teaches TEAS, I am very sad and disappointed to hear that. There is a lot of conspiracy theory and misinformation out there about COVID. For those who are studying for TEAS and plan to become healthcare professionals, I just wanted to let you know that it is critical for you to have a sound scientific foundation and possess the ability to identify incorrect information in order to help patients and save lives. If you don't believe COVID is true, I highly recommend that you talk to doctors, nurses, and emergency responders who have been working on the front line during the pandemic. Listen to what they have to say - their experiences and struggles.

One more question, If acid increase in blood, Does it means donate a H+ at PH?
@professoryu55712 жыл бұрын
Pretty close... If the blood acidity increases, that means there's more H+ in the blood. For instance, if the CO2 level increases in the blood, more CO2 reacts with H2O and generate H2CO3. H2CO3 is a weak acid and donates H+ to the solution, which makes the blood more acidic. But be sure to know that more acidic means lower pH, not higher. Hope this answered your question :-)
