Hope you find my comment. Loving your way of teaching Your channel has proved extricator for me. I found this channel at my University level and i am clearing my basics. Really desirful to take physical classes from you.Your explaination on one side and giving an excellent analogy is quite interesting. Hello Taylor, So the max number of valence electrons is the same as their number on the very outer energy level, but not all of them must participate in a bond formation, like CO and CO2 ? Can electrons form the prior numbered level also participate in the bond formation ? Thanks !

electrons aren't massless. they just have such a small mass, it can be considered to be negligible in this case
