Okay I guess I’m confused on the Emma thing… she’s saying Emma ripped her off when she admits in the comments that it’s inspired by Old Hollywood and Marilyn Monroe?? To me that’s not a new idea… maybe if Emma was in a purple wig but she obviously is looking like Marilyn. Also weird of her to say that she should have gotten the gig when it’s Emma’s company? Idk I don’t get it it

As a marketing girlie myself, there’s NO way that they copied her in nine days. I bet Emma’s team was planning and designing the shoot in November. Old Hollywood is also on trend. Perhaps the only mishap is that an intern didn’t catch this on social but since the influencer doesn’t have a drink brand it wouldn’t be on their radar.

I love Miranda’s work but as someone who works in marketing a LOT goes into planning these types of shoots, lots of people do Marilyn inspired shoots, and the heart arch is a popular photo that comes up on sites like Pinterest when people search things like “Valentine’s Day photoshoot ideas.”. Marketing campaigns take lots of time to plan and execute.

It’s weird watching Glamzilla berate elf because she’s trying SO HARD. It comes super classist too. Especially when she calls out the ‘Duping’ team instead of ending it at market and research. Miranda needs to chill out. A photo involving being in a cut out heart while dressed up in Marilyn Monroe inspired makeup is not a new concept. What irked me the most was her saying “ I didn’t want a tag I didn’t want a shout out or something I would’ve wanted the gig” dawg what. She has a whole team that set this production up. Then she had the audacity to be like “ if you’re looking for a new creative director holler at your girl” you guys had the same idea what

Yea it’s weird she thought she would/could get hired as the model/art director of a brand 1) she is accusing of stealing from her and 2) the owner/creator of the brand starred in the campaign. Like why would Emma Chamberlain hire Miranda to star in and design a campaign for Emma’s drink company? It’s weird she thought this was stolen, it’s weird she admitted it wasn’t an original idea while simultaneously saying it’s her original idea, and it’s weird she says she wanted the gig as if that was ever an option. She’s got an inflated sense of self and is out of touch.

What I don’t get is why Miranda is being so petty. It’s not like she’s selling things, or people while mix up her products with Emma’s products. Old Hollywood has been a thing since it came out. I feel like she just made the video to bring awareness to herself. Like this is America, it’s been done before, we see it keep happening and not every thing that someone does belongs to them

That's so funny how people think they're so special that someone big is gonna notice their existence and copy them. That's so funny especially that this girl knows what her inspiration was I don't believe she didn't. And she made the whole speech about how originally special and self-made it was, like delulu a little bit, but congrats on great work lol. Anyway I had a similar situation but I wasn't like "oh that must be dragged from my work not the not original inspiration" I participated in nyx makeup contest in my country, it was for pride month so everyone did something rainbow, I did a rainbow butterfly on my whole face and few hours later that one girl that is like influencer in my country posted her whole face as rainbow butterfly. And you know what I could have said "oh that's my idea!" But I didn't, and you know why? Because I know what my inspo was and it was one of the first pictures in google for butterfly makeup. So yeah... I know I'm not the bellybutton of the world and this girl, clearly not. There is something off with american people with public social media.

The Emma thing really reads like when Hollywood accidentally releases two movies of the same theme in a year (Deep Impact & Armegeddon, The Prestige & The Illusionist, No Country for Old Men & True Grit), sometimes trends just come to a head and two creative teams are on the pulse and create something very similar.

I know! I’m so confused at why people think they own something. I’m not saying everyone should just go and trademark every little thing… but we have to stop gatekeeping basic ideas. Like hearts, old Hollywood, and the blonde bombshell ideas aren’t original ideas anyway. It’s weird that so many people agreed with her that the ideas were stolen… when Emma’s people legit showed that she didn’t steal the idea. 🤦🏼‍♀️

She heard another smaller creator speak about this being an olaplex dupe! I swear! I've known about this dupe for a lil while now thanks to Jen Phelps!!! Which I bought and it is amazing and save a bunch of money now since getting the same results as olaplex for a muuuuch better price! Jen is the only one that I've ever heard say this about this product and for sure the very 1st!! The conditioner is just slightly heavier than the olaplex but no issues just wanted to mention. Also Not Your Mother's bonding shampoo and conditioner is another dupe, learned from Jen Phelps as well and is actually just a hair better than the L'Oreal because that conditioner has no heaviness. And still cheaper than olaplex but a lil more than the L'Oreal! I loathe that mikayla won't give the credit where it's due!

The second hand embarrassment I got for Miranda when she said she isn’t mad but is flattered 💀 She really thinks Emma’s team ripped off her idea and produced final work within a week? She should know better about production timelines as a “creative director”. It takes months to launch a successful campaign.

Glamzilla has me confused: "L'Oreal just launched a new concealer; SECRETLY! Here's the thing; I'm not leaking them because I bought it with my own money." If they launched it secretly, why would it be on the shelf so fast? And why does she sound so smug?
