Awesome reaction, loved your expression when the rappers popped in, yes this version is really different, but it is powerful and it all went together so beautifully. I think this one seems more like it's own song rather than a version, if that makes sense.

The Haitian language is called Creole. And the gentleman singing in Creole is the awesome Wyclef Jean. He was singing Hips Don't Lie with Shakira. Hope this helps! ☺️

not everyone having a solo was inevitable with so many people. It was the same in the original, and they had less people. In the original Bet Midler, Waylon Jennings, Smokey Robinson, and John Oats just to name a few didn't have solos. but the theme when they all got together was check your egos at the door.

I remember being in School, I think 2nd or 3rd Grade, and the Earthquakes in Haiti had happened. If I'm not Mistaken, I think this came out in 2010 Edit: they had to put Michael's part from the 1985 version into the video because as everyone knows, Michael Jackson sadly Passed away in 2009.

You and me = same. I started sobbing as soon as MJ and Janet popped up I agree that choices were certainly made here. The rap section was jarring at first listen but i came to enjoy it. I still could've done without Lil Wayne's solo and the level of autotune for T Pain (i think T Pain could've incorporated it better so i assume he wasn't as involved in the production of his part)

Overall, I liked this but I do agree that the rap part is rather jarring. It just wasn't a seamless transition. I liked that there was a rap section, however, I think it could have been smoother. It just didn't flow in my opinion.

This cover doesn’t come close to the greatness of the original. The original had one unified sound they all committed to for a common cause. This seemed like a mashup of egos more than anything.
