Could you do a video about sunscreens that are acne skin friendly? Many of these sunscreens you recommended have potential pore cloggers. This is one reason many acne prone people have such a hard time finding and being consistent with using sunscreens.

I like the Dr jardt every sun day mineral sunscreen! I have super sensitive acne prone skin and this is the only one I feel like doesn’t irritate my skin or make my face oily 😊 I tried the tatcha that she mentioned but I feel like that made me break out

love this video! i find it hard to apply 3 finger lengths worth of tinted mineral sunscreen without it being a super thick layer on my face that comes off whenever i blow my nose or touch my face
@TeawithMDАй бұрын
Thanks for watching! 3 finger lengths is quite a bit for face and neck; it helps to put it on in layers. I also find the thickness and stickiness of it depends on the product.

Thansk for your deep dive intro on why we need tinted sunscreen. As a very fair skin person, i found pretty hard to find the suitable tinted sunscreen which match my skin tone. I used Europe ver LRP tinted sunscreen and it was two shades darker than my skin. My solution was mixing the tinted and untinted one to make the shade closed to my very fair skin tone. 😂 i can tell....Europe ver LRP sunscreen is always one of my favorite sunscreens. 😊

Really thrilled by the mineral sunscreens collection but unfortunately most of these beautiful products are not available in India....😢...May God help us from the ruthless summer heat!

I HAVE A HACK! If you have a sunscreen you like, and want to add a tint I highly recommend Ciele tint serum 50spf. Some say to mix three drops and that is enough for the face but no way. Using this serum mixed with your favorite sunscreen adds pigment for more protection.

I appreciate how much emphasis you put into education for tinted sunscreens. The arm swatches weren’t as helpful because it was difficult to see coverage and how they blended out. I’ve been interested in the PTR Max Mineral Tinted and might pick it up this summer after I use up some of my stash.

I do not believe that titanium dioxide covers the UVA I range - therefore it is not enough protection - Please advise. Thank you PS. It would have been great to see you apply these sunscreens on your face 😊

Consider Bubble sunscreen. It's an affordable brand made with teens in mind. They have a tinted and a non-tinted version, both spf 40, and I've seen terms and skincare content creators like Leah Yoo try it and like it

My favorite is the Peter Thomas Roth one and been using it for years. I recently bought the Tatcha one and it has very nice finish but I think it’s too expensive for its percentage of zinc oxide (the higher of the sunscreen filter, the higher protection it provides right?) so I won’t repurchase it and keep using the Peter Thomas Roth. Also I do have a question: why do I get at least 5 shades darker whenever I used chemical sunscreen under the sun but I only get 1/2 shade darker whenever I uses the physical sunscreen (specifically Peter Thomas Roth)? I tried both under the sun for 4-5 hours. I always wished the chemical sunscreen works for me because it does have much lighter texture than the physical ones.

I have both rosacea and struggle with perioral dermatitis (and in general sensitive skin). I use mild cleanser (CeraVe hydrating cleanser) and moisturizer (LRP Toleriane dermallergo cream) now which helps on this. But I need help finding a sunscreen/cc cream/bb cream which both covers up some of the rosacea and also is PD friendly. What can I try?

I have the untinted Isdin and also bought their makeup drops. They specifically say you can put the drops into the SPF to make your own Bb cream. Would that give the same benefits as the tinted Isdin one? I hope that makes sense! 😂 I have some hyperpigmentation.

Good question; I’m not familiar with the foundation drops so I checked the ingredient list. Interestingly the iron oxides are listed under a parenthesis saying may contain. So I’m not totally sure if they’re saying it contains different combos of the iron oxides for the different shades. But in general if it does contain iron oxide then it does help block visible light !

Does makeup (foundation) also contain iron oxides/block visible light? I find using tinted sunscreens like rubbing tons of sheer foundation, so I actually prefer chemical sunscreens but I wear foundation on top.

They do! For specific products you can check their ingredient list for iron oxide (the pigment)
