You’ll notice the dialogue cuts out at 6 seconds in, this is because KZbin’s automatic caption generation misinterpreted the word ‘folks’ as the f-word, which broke KZbin’s new ‘no profanity in the first 15 seconds’ rule, leading to the video being restricted and taken down the first time I tried to upload it. Manual review somehow didn’t pick this up and KZbin Support left me on read when I tried reaching out to them on Twitter about their mistake. Have you ever heard of the webcomic "Exterminatus Now"? Maybe you'd like to voice something from that sometime. A bit of an explanation first: Early on in this millennium, a group of Sonic fans decided to create a fan-setting (appropriately named "the "Grim Darkness") that strove to make the series more edgy by adding in elements of WH40K, making the Kingdom of Acorn as religiously zealous as the Imperium of Man (even going so far as to create an Inquisition). There's also the Orientalism-steeped nation of Taika, complete with lightsaber (oops, sorry, I meant to say "beam sword")-wielding furry samurai/ninja, and cyborg echidnas. Oh, and Robotnik is there, too. There's a lot of lore that I forget, but that's pretty much the gist of it. So a few members of this group came together later on and decided to make their own webcomic to sort of make a bit of fun of the setting, and it was entitled "Exterminatus Now". There's four main characters: a gray fox, a brown rat (both of them Inquisitors), a ginger "beam-sword"-wielding samurai/ninja cat, and a black echidna with a cyborg eye, arms, and legs. The series alternates between domestic humor and action-oriented missions. It was one of my favorite webcomics growing up, although that just might have been because of the novelty of seeing Sonic-styled characters swearing. It no longer updates, since the story is pretty much complete. But the archive is still online, waiting for new readers to experience it.
