HOW I REVIEW:
As you might know from my „How I make a buying decision“ video: Rather than just looking at the pros, I like to evaluate the cons or flaws of an item and then evaluate if I can live with them. That is why in my video reviews I concentrate more on the cons of an item rather than going over all the features. Therefore everything shown is just a fraction of all the points that go into the verdict and score of an item.
DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A QUICKLOOK AND A REVIEW:
A Quicklook usually covers pre-production units or items that I only used for a short period of time. While Reviews cover final items that I have reviewed intensively.

I prefer a more minimal/lighter dopp kit (but not as minimal/light as a ziploc bag which is often recommended in the onebag carry community!). Have a Bellroy lite pouch on the way, 50g with two slip pockets and can stand upright or hang (in a pinch), hoping that will work out nicely.

Gravel has a really good Dopp kit. I also keep all my liquids in a leakproof bag inside the Dopp kit.

Been looking at the Grams28 slings. They look really nice. As a dopp kit I’ve been using the Peak Design Small Wash Pouch and it’s great. Has a hook to hang it and I use it all the time. Their regular size is way too big though. I also love the matador flat pack travel bottles, soap bar case, and their toothpaste tubes.

My main travel toiletry bag is the Gravel Explorer Plus. It has enough pockets for all essentials, like toothbrush and toothpaste, shaving tools, soap, shampoos, etc., it has a separate compartment for wet items, and a strap for hanging it from hooks or the shower hoses. It might be a bit overkill for 1 or 2-day trips, especially when travelling just with a backpack, or if I don't need to take everything with me (e.g., no shampoos or shaving kit), but still, it's my main choice. I do agree, the Gravel silicone bottles are very well made; although lately I use shampoo soap bars more and more, they are my go to travel bottles when I want to carry liquids. Another travel toiletry bag, that I use for longer trips (in terms of days I'll stay abroad, not just flight duration), especially when I take trolley luggages, not just a backpack, is the Side by Side Travel Packer. Its design is flat, and makes it look more like a packing cube, so it can easily fit trolley bags. It also has a hanging strap, but what I like the most is its detachable pouches; it's like having two smaller toiletry bags with me, which can be useful if I go for a day trip during your holidays, and I don't need everything with me, or if I just want to go to the gym, the sauna or the grand bath of my hotel, so, I only need a limited number of essentials. I also like the Side by Side Dry Bag. It's my main bag for dirty clothes when travelling. I also keep one at work and one in my car. I've combined them with small Heroclips and they come really handy.
