I know some people may not agree with me on this, but I really hope Tech is dead. Because bringing him back in season 3 will make this scene mean nothing. Honestly Tech’s sacrifice is one of the best moments in all of the animated clone wars animations. This scene happens so fast, it’s made real. The moment tech fell, I knew what was about to happen and the realization from Tech is perfect. EDIT: I am happy to say that Tech is dead. I know some fans will be disappointed or even angry that I say this. But it was the best decision Dave Filoni could have made. And as an avid George Lucas fan, I’m to say this is the end. The Bad Batch should be the end of this amazing franchise. Because it has the ideas of George Lucas and was written by a man who was under George’s influence. And honestly I would say it’s better to end on a high note than ruin everything and end on a down note. The only way I will ever watch another show or film about Star Wars is if it involves George Lucas, or if an amazing director is allowed to take influence from his work. But unless it involves George fingerprints. I will always consider everything else fanfiction. Rogue One is a fanfiction. Star Wars Sequels fanfiction, mandalorian fanfiction, AHSOKA fanfiction, Solo fanfiction, etc.

Plan 99 means sacrifice yourself for the good of the team, it's especially heartbreaking when you consider that the bad batch would have sat down and come up with these plans by themselves, and that it would appear that Plan 99 is the one plan that the team leader (Hunter) can't order a member of the team to undertake Plan 99. It appears that Plan 99 must be a consciouse choice by the one making the sacrafice.

I’ve seen both Echo & Gregor surgery both survive explosions. Hemlock did say they only found Tech’s googles & not his body. So it’s possible he survived this fall. Albeit he’s gonna need some cybernetics & a lengthy recovery time to.

The Clones were more than just soldiers. They were their own people with a deeper culture. Tech, Heavy, Rex, Fives, 99, Waxer, Boil, Cody, Oddball, Echo, and others are proof of that. They were individuals. They were people united by blood and good looks. They were brave and compassionate. They understood the mission and they were MORE than capable of objective reasoning and comparing notes as a team (fuck General Krell). They were good. They were a people manipulated by a higher power and used as disposable tools. However, if we were to compare them to the REAL world in terms of morals, guts, strengthen, intelligence and understanding, they may just represent humans at their best, and i think theyre a great icon to strive towards for both the young and the old. Such a shame it had to be in a time of war. FOR THE REPUBLIC!!!

Pretty sad that Tech didn’t come back for Season 3, but I think it was a well deserved death because it hits hard on the impact on what you want for a character sacrifice in Star Wars. If the writers revealed him as one of the clone assassins to work along with the Empire, then that cheapens the seriousness of character development and writing and thankfully this show atleast stays away from that while many live action shows screws up things like this for example of faking out a death or lackluster action.

there's a beauty in this scene, it shows how well Tech accept his situation, Bad Batch core is flexibility in doing their things following orders is not their best way in performing task, it's more to trust among them, so when Tech in this situation we normally expecting some cringe line or sad cliche moment, but no. Tech replying their plead to stay alive but saying, "when have we ever followed orders" hits so hard yet brings us to what the Bad Batch core value really is, and we all know it the moment he said that line, such an amazing plot.

If you fall into water from that height, you might as well have fallen onto concrete, the result is the same: splat.

@@Jana_McC94 Him grabbing on to the tram would not slow him down significantly. It may impart some drag, but for that to work and not have him get crushed upon impact he'd have to get on top. He'd have to hold on extremely tightly, otherwise he would just get killed when the tram hit the ground, shortly followed by him impacting the tram at terminal velocity. But Tech grabbing on to the tram would not affect his speed by itself, weight does not affect how fast you fall, gravity does. It's just that when there's an atmosphere drag can get in the way. Even if this is the case, he wouldn't likely have the time to execute it. Tech is a genius, but even he would have limits. As much as I have grown to like the character, I think it's best he stays dead. Having him miraculously survive would cheapen this sacrifice, and ultimately, for better or for worse, some characters need to stay dead (I'm looking at you, Echo).

Honestly I’m glad Tech stayed dead. Don’t get me wrong, I was among those who believed the theory that he was CX-2 (which I didn’t want btw) and secretly hoped to see him back as a prisoner on Tantiss, despite Star Wars’ bad habit of retconning deaths. But I am relieved that Tech’s sacrifice wasn’t cheapened by a fake out. Honestly the Ventress retcon kind of sealed it for me. I figured Feloni wouldn’t bring two characters back from the dead.
