I just got a new one in the mail last night for my tiller. Turned on KZbin and there you were to show me the way to replace it. I did not even have to search the subject. Thanks for all your great videos.

Great tip on those fittings. They certainly get old, brittle, and break off. Thanks for the upload 😎

tip for you. grab a medium sized pair of vice grips and weld a 1/2 thick 3/4 x 1 inch block on the back. grip your screw and you can tap on that block with a hammer. i did eventually buy a slide hammer that takes sheet metal screws for pulling oil seals and it works great but a bit pricey.

Are these usually the same diameter going into the carb? I need one about 4mm in diamater but nowhere seems to list the measurement

I have a Briggs 15.5HP with Walbro LMT 5-4993 carb.(Live in northern Canada).Needle and seat parts obsolete for this 1997 vintage carb.Ordered an offshore kit(2 kits in one actually)13$ CDN on Amazon. The Briggs site lists 2 separate inlet seats and needle valves for engine depending if gravity feed or fuel pump.(no pics or descriptions). My carb is gravity unit with a red tipped rubber needle factory and approximately 0.069” oriface seat.Kits come with a rubber tipped and an all metal needle set and 2 seats(0.074 and 0.054 oriface sizes:so not exactly same as stock for either). My question is does the rubber tipped needle go with the larger or the smaller seat? The factory part numbers don’t get sizes so not sure if bigger size oriface seat matches to metal or rubber tipped needle.Any thoughts or suggestions based on your experience (other than don’t buy offshore crap😂-usually buy stock if available)?Thx

Unrelated question, Jeremy. Does bar oil goes bad over time? I get in old machines and drain out all the bar oil. If I filter it is there any reason why I can’t use it?

The fuel inlet fitting on my briggs 99876 carburetor threads into the carburetor, (its a 7/16-20 thread), having some trouble finding a fitting with 7/16-20 male threaded end x 1/4 barbed end, any suggestions?

About easier/as cheap to order a new carb these days ... But nice how to video.

Yeah if it's a Chinese one. Oem is usually 80 to 150. You get a generator with an oem walbro and the wabro has a plug for fuel mixture then the Chinese carb has a needle with different thread size. Then you try to get the generator to run right and it won't because that needle..in the end customer had spent 20 and insisted I put that carb on.. they spent 120 to put a carb on that I couldn't get to run right and now has to pay me twice for remove and install old one plus the bill to put this elbow on. The oem carb was 95 plus shipping, they found an elbow and now I'm putting it on..they are in almost 260 bucks because that cheap Chinese junk when they could been out 120 or even just 10 bucks on Amazon and diy the thing.
