rather than wastefully tossing baskets and shower screens spray the dirty ones with oven cleaner. allow them to sit for 10 minutes and scrub with an old toothbrush. after rinsing well with clean water spray the parts with vinegar and the ph is restored and I defy anyone to see a difference between cleaned and expensive new parts. A word of caution, do not use oven cleaner on aluminum parts. It will eat them

Apparently is a new trend to throw away dirty shower screens instead of cleaning them, and thus buy a new one. I didn't understand cous how hard it is to clean this parts, the gasket I get it cuz it wears out with the time and you can see that degradation happened but baskets and screens really?. Also just got water with cafiza, a brush and elbow grease should do the trick for those parts he just tossed.

I just soak all of my dirty parts in cafiza and water. Everything comes out clean. I can't see throwing away a shower screen or basket. That's just wasteful.

That machine was not loved for a while! I soak my baskets and shower screen in cafiza. I also soak my dispersion screw in cafiza and then in descaling solution. Cafiza cleans up coffee oils like a champ

I disagree with throwing away the shower screen. I would just soak in hot water and Cafiza with the gasket, and it comes out new.

It hurts me to see how dirty the backflush water was. I clean my machine weekly/biweekly and it never looks so brown!

Yes but if you do it to often the lever gets stiff. So i dont do it as often

How could you guys let that machine get that dirty? Were you actually drinking coffee out of that machine?

Why are you replacing the shower screen... isn’t it better just to clean it with cafiza...same with the screw... the only thing that makes sense to replace is the gasket

windex? I'd rather have my beverage run through rancid coffee oil than windex
