What does everyone think of young Jack Luke's somewhat controversial choices??? Is he right on the money, or has he wildly missed the mark??? As always, let us know in the comments!

The humor you bring to the channel (through imagery and commentary, and certainly in your adventures with Joe and Reub) is a big reason why i'm subbed. Can barely remember Bike Radar 2 and a half years ago! Oh and uh, good shouts on the top 5. Definitely wanna take a look at some Rab C. Nesbitt baselayers.

This video gets 5 out of 5... I hate all five choices! But to each their own. Oddly, one of my favorite bike tech items is my digital tire pressure gauge (a Topeak D2). I use it before every ride, I can easily dial within one PSI, and it has both Presta and Schrader built in. For winter, it’s a thin Halo scull cap with ear flaps. Why many riders freeze their ears in the cold wind is beyond me. Finally, sub-compact rings, a Wolf Tooth extender, and a MTB cassette on my road bike. I live in the land of hills with a 24% max grade on the shortcut home. Those low gears are great at the end of a 60 mile ride. For me, a fixie is the bike of the devil.

Good list Jack, I enjoy your content. It's good to see other guys who like steel bikes, like your Mr. Pink. Your diaries rides were really cool, with the eclectic mix of bikes. Hey, tell Joe to get that heavy red bike from Reuben's last(ish) video out for some more forfeits. Or upgrades?

They're certainly worth trying. Like I said, it's really easy to dump a load of heat with them so I rarely overheat with them if I pair them with a jersey suitable for the conditions.

My advice for a base layer is Santinisms Lana. It is expensive at 90euros but man, my jersey gets soaking wet and my skin is still dry because of that base layer. I have never felt somethinh so nice

To be honest, I think BikeRadar produces fantastic content. I love each and every video, even videos on subjects that I don't dabble in, like mountain biking. Most importantly, I love all the presenters, especially these three. They are genuine, and easy to relate to. It makes GCN videos seem alien. The bits are overwritten and the GCN presenters seem cold and robotic, never mind pretentious and elitist. Why they aren't like BikeRadar; I will never understand. Cheers!

5:16 and 5:20 show what looks like a seat mounted rack that can hold a back pack. Did it wobble if it was heavy? I am having trouble finding it by internet searches. Any tips of sourcing something like that? Thanks!

Hey! What bag and mount for handlebar and seatpost where used on the surly steamroller? Really enjoying the channel!
@jackluke92435 жыл бұрын
The handlebar bag is an Ostrich F-702, which sits atop a Dia-Compe Gran Compe 610 brake that is fitted with a matching mini rack. The rear bag is a Carradice Super C, which I use in conjunction with a Carradice Bagman. The later is a great setup but the rack for the Dia-Compe brake is definitely just a support - it's not designed to carry any kind of substantial load. I hope that helps!

I understand why you guys do it but could you stop with the fake "controversial" bs. It gets tired enough when people try to make the whole disc vs rim brake thing or even friggin sock length thing seem "controversial" but now it just seems like you're trying too hard. I get it, cycling isn't that crazy wild of a sport so there's not much to work with as a writer but the "controversy" angle has been milked to death.
