i got my Mop Top Liverpool, and am totally floored by the tube amp like compression. i had no idea, like Wow !!! ( and before, when considering Bass, i was worried that the 2112 DI didn't have the patch means to get a compressor after the pre-amp ??? ) but now there is a bi-amp rig with FET compression also ... like the drummer said, but i am a guitarist. i just found out about the XB, so i still have to look over the price scale and options....but every single option i am considering is a Tech-21 !!!

You don´t need an amp to sound good on the stage!!! You need a sansamp!!! Directly into FoH and back to a db-FM10-monitor! Perfect sound! Finally you made the best combination of all your Tech21-worlds!!! Love my Paradriver, but I´m really thinking of getting me this masterpiece!!!

Does this let you choose the cutoff points like the X does? I like the X, but realistically, I would have much more use for it with any number of different drive characters then what is on the X.

Of course, Tech21 comes out with this 3 months after I move out of the country and into the African bush. It sounds absolutely phenomenal. Fantastic preamp. Only comment would be to have a toggle to select the effects loop to be after both signals combine (how it is now) or on the HPF chain only (keep the clean LPF side unaffected) Would be a great V2 MOD

Sounds so delicious! Does the 1/4” out have the cab sim on it, or just the XLR? That was one thing the DP3x was missing, IMHO. I liked the sound better with the cabsim engaged, even when running into other pedals and an amp. So I had a special cable made which ran XLR-1/4” to achieve that end. Killer demo as always, Tim.

Hi Barry, I'm glad you're digging the XB Driver! Although we are very close to releasing these puppies, most of the pre orders are already spoken for and you may have to wait for round 2 to get one. In the meantime, any of our SansAmps would KILL IT in an ampless situation.

Very impressive! Question: when engaged in "Mix" & "Crossover" mode does the clean channel get a mid cut like the dUg DP-3X? Also similarly, on the clean channel, is the Bass as tied to the compressor like the dUg? Is the Bass less powerful if the compressor is lower than the Bass? Hope this makes sense.

Yes & no. It depends how you set the filters. You can set it for a mid scoop if desired, or not. This compressor is different and it goes to zero. Happy you are impressed!

Thanks for asking! When in "Mix" mode you have the option to engage the crossover switch. That will activate the high and low pass filters and give you the tonal options associated with Bi-Amp operation.
