I am little bit confused that when the verge was in fastboot it was saying that waiting for device . So I have to wait for 5 min and then the (finished ) will come . Please tell me I am confused

Hi Christian - most likely erasing cache would help, yes. But much easier is to try a factory reset - it may help too. As for the cache erasing procedure - refer to the xda-thread, it has each of these commands shown line by line.

Hi Suraj - as mentioned in the video - you have to find the corresponding for your watch ROM. There are differences between the Verge and Stratos - make sure to find the Stratos thread and to download the Stratos ROM.

Then if you follow all the directions in the video, when the system boots, the device hangs in "launching apps" and I have to turn it off and on again, but nothing happens. It hangs right at startup. What did I do wrong or does the equipment have a problem?

Sounds like you got the wrong download package; Better check the thread on xda developers forums carefully.

This sounds like good - did you press any key? That should start the procedure. There also is a totally manual flashing option, also described in the XDA thread.

Not sure about the exact workflow - but you should start by installing adb on the iMac.

Sure - just find in XDA the suitable threads for PACE and Stratos and get the ROM from these threads; Each model has dedicated forum thread.

The Lite doesn't have that option - it is only possible with the non-lite edition.

I'm on a bit of a problem. The Watch, Amazfit Verge stopped in the fastboot screen and I can't go foward to the next step that is charging the new room. The watch isn't being recognized by the pc. Most likely it is not too bad; Perhaps it is the fastboot driver not working. Try to execure the commands one by one manually - start from where it stopped.

After I put the serial number and OS Version and I click the Check button, the watch goes to the Fastboot screen and the Bootloader Unlocker starts to hang. Ive clicked Yes and No and both resulted in the same thing. Kindly advise.

Often the message refers to the serial number, but is actually because of the ROM version. Make sure to enter a version from the Amazfit roms - I remember the algorithm was not accepting versions for the Verge when was trying that.

@@TechMishka I'm not doing this for fun or because I'm particularly interested in learning the intricacies of "flashing." I'n an American living in China and bought the watch from Taobao when my Fitbit suddenly died without warning last summer. I had no idea that it couldn't be set to English. It's maddening that the phone app can be set to English but the watch itself cannot. There are quite a few functions of the watch that would be nice to be able to use a bit more easily without having to grope my way through the Chinese. I actually do know quite a bit of Chinese and can read a lot of characters but there are quite a few (perhaps 100,000 or so) that I DON'T know. It doesn't help that my 60 year-old eyes aren't what they used to be and I practically need a pair of binoculars to even read the numbers on the watch. I'm pretty close to getting this but I'm hung up on what the "bootloader number" is. One needs it to completely fill in the information required at the "unlock amazfit" website. I THINK I have the serial number but I'm really not even sure.

@@TechMishka The good news is I eventually managed to to make the "flash" thing work but totally bricked the watch in the process. Can't even turn it on. For around 30 seconds it appeared it might work and I was happy but then the watch face went black and that was it. I tried the unbrick thing and that went nowhere as well.

There is no such trick to reflash the ROM, but theoretically - you should be able to switch to English language from within the ZEPP app.

However, when I return the iPhone to the English language it gives the bug (update and bla-bla-bla). If I change in Zepp, I have to keep the Iphone in Chinese. Do you have any suggestion?
