Some really nice inventions listed here. I love the forklift wheels clip. Very nice and *very* practical. I like that blind spot technology the 14 yr old girl invented. It looks to be a sensible and much tool that is needed for all vehicles, built into new ones and made available for older vehicles as well. The Emergency Checkpoint survival tent is definitely a good idea. People will benefit from that in all regions, not just where extreme weather occurs. And finally, those skis is a nice invention, however, IMHO they should have a stubby keel to ensure that the user goes in the direction headed for.

As an auto mechanic I find it funny how a 14 year old little girl came up with something useful, yet all the grown men who went to schools for as long as she’s been alive still can’t engineer something worth a damn.
@joehughes5177 Жыл бұрын
Questioning useful. A slight move of your head accomplishes the same as this without any tech. It's called a trained driver, hence why a 14 year old who has never driven would even consider this. And cmon guy, engineers aren't that great as I'm sure you know. Plenty of examples in every car on the road today.
@donnaeastman4486 Жыл бұрын
She did that a while ago too. I would like that in my car. I wonder why they haven't implemented it yet.
@itzcaseykc Жыл бұрын
Sounds like arrogance to me. Why shouldn't a 14 yr old little girl be allowed or capable of coming up with an idea which an accomplished engineer or mechanic hasn't solved or envisioned? Sometimes, a person with fresh new eyes, wind up discovering an overlooked aspect of something we take for granted or struggle with for years. There's no need to reply. This was more rhetorical than a direct question for you to answer.

My mind is bent by the "omnidirectional wheels" at 1:10. Looks more complex than just replacing standard wheels. How do they lock to prevent gravity-rolling? And spinning in place involved counter-rotating wheels. Will a standard forklift do that without modification?
@a.mathis9454 Жыл бұрын
Yes. A standard forklift drive wheels turn in one direction at a time like a regular car.
@DeathlordSlavik Жыл бұрын
They don't need to lock see how the rollers are at an angle inside the wheel now look at the wheels on the opposite side the rollers are mirrored rather then angled the same direction that prevents the whole thing from rolling on the rollers alone as the rollers alone want to go different directions so no movement happens. Long story short if the wheels aren't turning it wont move.

I always thought they should have equipment in buildings that seal off the building and starve the fire of oxygen. Occupants would have sealing equipment and emergency breathing apparatuses. If nothing else it could buy time. If you have a tall structure and put some type of substance that could be placed on top of it and let it run down it would be drawn into any crack, crevice, or opening by way of vacuum from the fires consumption until it reached the bottom and sealed it completely. Extraction of occupants might be a challenge. I'm not a firefighter, a scientist, or an engineer so I couldn't say. It seems like it would be much easier to deprive a fire than fight it. I thought if I posted this idea that maybe it could reach someone that could make it happen and literally save lives.

The idea of using cameras and projectors to make vehicle's walls "invisible" is older than that girl they claim came up with it. Sure it is pretty incredible, but the technology was not new even back when people kept calling it "the Harry Potter invisibility cloak". If she came up with any actual improvements to the old idea so it is more feasible to implement in cars that would be great, but otherwise a patent application is going to go as well as for the guy who tried to patent a way to raise sunken boats by filling them with air and was told Donald Duck already did that in 1949. Those forklift wheels have been featured in at least ten videos like this but I still haven't heard of any place that actually uses them. At least the hot tub boats are an actual product that sells, given I have personally seen three or four of them, all from different manufacturers, none of them being the company promoted here. Seriously, people watch these for new stuff... The tent, road barrier and tidal turbine are new designs but they are just a rehash of old technology that has been shown many times before. Not only are they neither new or unique but there is nothing really "incredible" about them. Never knew that underground fires are such a common problem you need a special tool just for them... Anyways, interesting that firefighters even need that tool and I guess it is kind of incredible, but again basic the technology has been used for a long time, like over a century. Technically you could say two millennia, given the Romans did something similar to level mountains in Spain mining gold... At least there are few parts that show actually new stuff that is also cool and useful, even if they are kind of niche.

The blind zone car feature is great and all, but all it will do is make a already big bundle of new car feathers, that the majority already can not afford to a very expensive car; when in reality people need to become more responsible, and aware of their surroundings (like those who are not suppose to use a phone or text in a car and yet they do it anyway) so take all distraction and if they fail they lose their license to drive for a year, and the garbage will change.... just my opinion

Also channel dude saying they can turn 360 on a spot well 99.999% of forklifts do that except for some specialized ones + these are not turning 360 degrees in the centre of their length which can be dangerous, they are called counterballance for a reason.
