I want to delete photos from my phone but NOT FROM GOOGLE PHOTOS CLOUD. Why is this so freakin impossible to do? Delete from my phone to free up space. And gues what? it deletes it from my google photos cloud. This is infruriating. WTF is that so hard to do?

same here you cannot make the photos to be invisible in you Offline photo album. though you backup the whole photos. and that freeying up will only make you phone space biger to for totally invisible in you Offline album

Yea I have Xiaomi and if you delete gallery photos they auto delete from Google photos too. I don't know how it's done that as never happened on other handsets

I have been doing the same thing but when it comes to the deleting part, it stays on 0 percent only! Yes it says it will take time, but how much time? I have waited for hours and it just stays at 0% and then just gets blank and nothing is deleted and no space! 😢

Thanks for your help, but what if the photo(s) come back on their own? I'll successfully delete from my Photos folder only to see the photos return about a minute later! However, they'll no longer show when I login to my Google account online! I don't know what to do about that!
