Thanks again for this video. As an FYI -- i have a multi-USB connector connected to my Amazon Firestick 4k. I tried mouse toggle and struggled until I plugged in a Windows Mouse into one of the slots on USB connector. This made it much easier to select external storage/USB and it worked very quickly for me

I sure hope you can help me. I have followed this video to the letter. When I click "SD Card" in ADM Mod Lite all I get is a basically blank screen that says "No items." Before I found your video I had tried to use various other ADM Pro versions with the same result. So I uninstalled the ADM Pro and installed the ADM Mod Lite from your Downloader address. I have a FireStick 4K Max and have attached a 128G Flash Drive that the Firestick reformatted to "Internal Memory." I can install apps there, but not download contect directly.

I have kodi running on my 4K firestick and all my data, cache and application all running from my SD. I have 3.6 GB out of 5.34 GB left. The Amazon applications that are specific to amazon cannot be moved to SD. I already tried. I use Total Commander to transfer internal media to SD card. It took me a few days to figure everything out. Big thanks to all TDUK!! Until someone figures out a way to delete all of amazon bloatware we're always going to have limited space. Like the old android phones with 1GB of RAM and 4GB of storage. We had to rely on XDA developers for roms and root ability just so we could use are phones. This reminds me of those times. For those who are subscribers to KZbin TV, KZbin, showtime anytime. You can run those from memory card but you have to uncheck those 3 things that Break Prime Video. They also break Showtime anytime. It took me a few days to figure that out. All is well now. And just like TDUK mentioned not all USB flash cards will work even after formatting to fat32. Sandisk works!! 64GB.

You can save downloads to your USB drive on your 2nd gen stick .You can't move your apps to it. On the 2nd gen devices, apps can only be run from internal storage

FYI to all those with a Fire TV trying to download to external hard drive connected in the USB. It took me a bit to figure out but this video is the way. Follow the steps using the virtual mouse toggle and you can get it. I can now download from certain apps to the external drive as you can with a firestick.

I have the 4K Max firestick I have tried moving my apps on to a SanDisk usb flash drive but evey way I have tried the apps don't move over properly if I turn my firestick off and check to see if my apps have stayed on the flash drive or have gone missing because I unmounted it and when I plug it back in and power the firestick up they have gone I end up having to load them in again. Thanks for the tutorials. Done everything but ADM not able to write to file. Brand new Sandisk 128gb with Fat32 format. Use Syncler or Cinema and click Open with and choosing ADM but about halfway creating the file it puts into finished section with it saying unable to write to file. Not sure what to do.

I have 27 apps running from SD and 8 HD movies that I downloaded from cyber flix and transferred to SD using total commandeer. I have those 3 things unchecked in debloater everything else checked. My total internal storage is 3,6 GB left with Kodi, cyber, cinema, KZbin TV, KZbin, smarters pro, showtime anytime, firefox and more running smooth from the SD. No lag or buffering. The only apps running from internal that aren't Amazon are adb remote shell, Total commander and downloader. If Kodi is using up your internal space you must of done something wrong. Limitless, Ghost, The Crew and Tempest all working good with Kodi 19 mod. Isn't taking up any internal storage.

sean sandals I have been able to run apk’s from a partitioned drive on the OTG cable and save/play files from an OEM formatted Sandisk thumb drive plugged into the same multiport adaptor. The source streaming apk can either send via ADM or , rarely (e.g. MediaBox HD), send direct to a path on the data drive. If your drive is FAT32 format I believe you can use up to a certain limiting size believed to be 300GB regardless of physical storage above this size. The second drive (not the partitioned one) can be used in another device

With a UGreen multiUSB OTG I connected a spare thumb into a vacant slot and saved a file drom the device storage using Total Commander. I didn’t have rights to creste a folder in Total Commander - still to solve. When short in RAM I found Total Commander less of a memory hog than X-Plore, which froze after mounting the new thumb

Cube should be the same. Yes, the USB needs to be FAT32. Airmouse wont help, nor will a bluetooth mouse - none of them will show any cursor unfortunately.

Pocket Change Let me know if you get this working on your Cube. I set my external drive folder and ADM shows the titles already in the folder but it sent a 5.5GB file to the ADM folder in internal storage on my Cube. This can have a drastic effect on performance (when system RAM is below ~500MB). I found it was too big for Total Commander to zip and too big to move to external storage. Only about 4 GB would copy. Had to delete this test file.

@@ade531001gmail Thanks Adrian, the limiting factor as I see it is the fact that Android TV operating systems will only allow transfer of files under 4 gig as in the case that the usb must be formatted as Fat32 or exfat, basically the same thing. The only way that I have gotten around this is to use a teue android box or tablet. I download a 8.3 test file on my Samsung android tablet and used a usb formatted to NTFS and the transfer was a success, so the issue is with the android tv operating system not recognizing and allowing files larger than 4 gig to be transferred to a NTFS usb, I will continue to work on this as well,

Good morning. I have been trying to do this for a while and just found your video although I have been following you for a while. I followed your instructions and everything went well until I got to where I needed to hit the select button. I have a 4K stick so as you show I couldn’t do it. I do not have a mouse connected so I was unable to complete. Any suggestions?

you can install the mouse toggle from my downloads page and follow the steps. You only need to do it once

I have one additional problem I hope you can help with. The downloads are going great but my problem is my ES Manager is on my external drive with no shortcut on the main screen. It is also not located in my Applications. I have to go into manage applications and launch ES. Is there a way of putting a shortcut on the main screen?

After the file is downloaded how do I play the file? I know, this should be the easiest part! I figured that out, had to use the hidden mouse toggle technique and was able to select my play file and use the toggle to select my media player on my 4K stick.

I've tried everything to be able to download or transfer direct to usb on fire stick 4k. No matter what app or what download location I put, the files will always go straight to the fire stick and if it's a video or similar I can then use something like es explorer to move it to the usb. Problem is, most files I want on the usb stick are too large to fit on my fire stick first. Where am I getting it wrong? I just want to be able to transfer files direct to the usb drive without having to first get them on the fire stick. I also have no option to be able to move apps from the fire stick to the usb.
