I liked the Pixel 4a overall but that's all. It's a camera phone and nothing more. So I'm gonna pick the Velvet this year. More than Cameras, I'm concerned about IP68, great stereo speakers, mics, headphone jack, Crisp OLED screen, Wireless charging, Stylus support and Bigger battery.

Oh I agree 100%..... a couple of my issues is the display and the size of the damn phones.. the Pixel is too small and the Velvet it awkward to tall.. I will definitely cover these issues in each of my full reviews

Wireless charging, bigger battery, IP68. Those are the things that make the Pixel 4a not useful to me. Also, the removed ability of HDMI over USB-C that pixel does is ridiculous.

yes i own the lg7 and it has taken all the beating possible. i even kept it in hot water bucket for 20 mins straight which i realized later and it still worked! and its still goin strong software n hardware wise. lg devices are ruff n tuff

That Pixel 4a has a beast of a camera. And it does look super natural (minus the ridiculous artificial sharpening that EVERY phone puts on photos). I will always be willing to sacrifice extra lenses for image quality. Wide angle is great, but is it really worth it if the image is crap? The greens are so saturated in the Velvet you can barely see the edges of the leaves in some of those pics! Great video dude!

I like velvet daylight. Color is good. It has asmr. But Low light 4a better

The way I see it the 4a is the best point & shoot 📷 in the business. No editing needed. The LG is over saturated, just saying! Super steady mode is better on the 4a?

Thanh Nguyễn The phone doesn’t have HDR for video as an option.... they aren’t going to use that for a mid tier phone.. instead they decided to still try and use REC2020.. if they want to appeal to the consumer they need to ditch Rec2020 or fix it

@@techexamined my close friend owns it There's no HDR on / off option, but it's still doing HDR video with that quadbayer pixelbinning sensor. Just compare the stock vs third party camera for video

LG had some problem in the past, that it recorded in HDR Mode always on, and when extracting the Video, there is some really crazy stuff happening there. The Video looks totally different on the PC. And LG still has not solved this. I don’t know what is going on right there 😅 You would have to use manual mode for the same night mode comparison. Any sensor can capture the same pic with such a long exposure time. Still, the Pixel 4a wins. Ultra steady mode is bough really great on the velvet (1080/30). I don’t have the demand for 4K honestly 🙈

The LG Velvet does not show an HDR option for video shooting.... however, they still insist on recording in REC2020 which is why the colors are so warm when I moved them over.... I can convert the files but 99% of the people who use this will not do that. They will take video and share it online, which ends up doing the same thing to the color as well.... This is something I will be talking about in my review. LG needs to ditch the REC2020 format...

Manual mode and the game is over for the 4a... and yeah Gcam on the velvet vs 4a I`m pretty sure it would beat the 4a too.

Wow 4 minutes for one night shot. You forgot the 1080p super steady modes. And manual modes for video camera and audio. But thanks for the auto computational photography video which have very little to do with the blender but everything to do with software algorithms that automatically process the images to look better than the small sensors are actually capable of.

There are some scenes where I like it better from The Velvet than I do the pixelbut the audio from the video and the front facing camera picture quality is a lot better than the Velvetand if you just wait about six to eight months the prices of the velvet will be down to about the pixel 4a price

I would pay 300-400 euro for the Pixel 4a but noooo ...its 700 euro in Europe. Velvet is as low as 400 euro so....
