What is your favorite web browser and why do you use it? As many of you know I’m a huge fan of Vivaldi. Edge has improved quite a bit with many of the same features as Vivaldi and having Copilot in the side bar is a game changer. I’ll be keeping an eye on the Arc browser and DuckDuckGo browser (not mentioned in this video) to see if they make the necessary improvements… Thanks for watching :)

edge is really good i hav been using it quite a lot . its best feature is sleeping tab and gaming mode just love it plus it hav its own edge addon store and it support mv2 and copilot just makes things easier

Edge #1? Yikes! If you don't care about security, ad blocking and giving Microsoft your personal info, go for it! I'll stick with better security browsers that still function as well if not better than Edge or Google Chrome. Used Floorp for almost all of 2024 and loved it, can't wait for the next major update. Firefox and Mullvad are my backups and if I were to use a Chromium-based browser it would go to Brave hands down.

@@Plaseebo Correct. I've been using Linux for several years now & have never had any problems like sudden freezings, crashes or problematic updates etc.. Besides, Linux & all the software is totally free.

@@Plaseebo You should be more specific than to say "Office". You mean "MS Office". LibreOffice works great. You can even get it for Windows if you insist on running a legacy OS.

When I tried Vivaldi years ago I hated it. Now, unless they screw it up, Vivaldi is the last browser I’ll ever use, and recommend everyone to give Vivaldi a try. Warning: Vivaldi has so many features, one may feel overwhelmed. I stand by the fact this is worth the short time it will take to customize your preferences.

Firefox is my main, the adblocking add-ons I feels works better than the chromium counter-part, more so when manifest v3 comes into play. I've been with FF since it came about and loved it ever since. I like to use Vivaldi for work because of it's built in features like an Email client, calendar, note/screenshot taking and profile management.

Thanks Brett. BRAVE also has a free and private AI link giving you a choice of many AI models for image and text/speech. I pay to get access to many more images, about $49/year I think.

it might not be as efficient as copilot but I have heard you can add other models and use them in it effectively. Which if true should give it the point against Edge.

I've been with Firefox from the beginning. Some of the web-based companies I work with perform better in Chrome, so it gets used in the office only. Vivaldi is blocked in the office due to security issues and constant auto-checking for updates. I abhor Edge, and may be one of the few in my office that dislikes the forced Microsoft AI integration.

My Microsoft Edge browser is very slow, and I don't see a lot of the options (sleep, split screen) you mentioned. Are you showing Edge for Windows 11? My Edge is 'up to date'.

Firefox is my primary browser, with Edge as a backup. Only found the shopping tool on Edge recently, which showed me some potentially really good deals. I shall watch with interest and look at at least some of the features you highlight. Thanks.

I used to use Vivaldi, but switched to Edge precisely because of their pdf reader. It's great for highlighting and saving said highlights. The overall experience is great! I also liked the Microsoft Rewards bit they have, since I used to trade those points to gift my nieces and nephews robux, but now that that's gone it's useless to me. Also, for some reason Edge (at least from what I've experienced) was way less resource hungry, but that is not from a "proper" benchmark on my end. I might reconsider though since that decision was made almost 2 years ago at this point, perhaps Vivaldi have had some improvements with their browser.

I love Microsoft Edge and use the Copilot feature quite often; it makes me more intelligent. The screenshot tool is handy as well. However, I wasn't aware of the Shopping tool, thanks for pointing that out. 😊

Brave all the way! ... You can turn their ad stuff off quite easily. They also block KZbin ads and a bunch of other tracking and privacy invasive / annoying stuff if you turn on the additional filters built into Brave in the settings. It's all we use in our family.

Uninstalled Opera GX last week because it was getting flagged by all of my PCs with a Zero Day infection. Removing the infected file only removed it until the next boot up. Deleting the browser removed the issue. Regular Opera was fine. Probably a false flag on the GX edition but if it's a China owned company now then... maybe not. 🤔

I've been using Vivaldi as my default browser for about five years. In December (2024), they had a complete screw-up with the sync function that lasted for days. My PC browser lost all the passwords. Though they remained active in the Android version, they will not resync to the PC. Vivaldi support has been of no help. Very frustrating. I'm currently using Edge until Vivaldi figures it out.
