Clearly you are very good at what you are doing, what's more awesome is that you are doing it for free, with this much high quality content you could have opened a paid course but you didn't, I have nothing but pure respect.

thank you so much It was my gate paper today and trust me guys in starting i thought this guy is teaching too much but slowly i started getting interest and his each and every topic is important as it was my first attempt i havnt prepared much but only edc, apt and maths some topics and i did almost all questions from edc asked in paper, with his way of teaching you can solve any questions. THANK YOU I decided to like the video only if my exam goes well,, and i am omw to like his veery video now. LOL

Can you please tell more about the effective density of states? what is the difference between the effective density of states and the density of states? what is the difference between Nd and Nc?

Sir at last you told that it is no of elctrons par unit volume but we have got this result by taking energy range E to E+dE....and we have integrated that from Ec to infinite...so it should be no of electron in the conduction band🙁......plzz reply as soon as possible 🙏
@techgurukula5 жыл бұрын
Hi Amandeep, gc(E) function units is no. of states per unit volume per unit electron volt. We integrated throughout the conduction band by taking the fermi function (with boltzmann approximation). Final units should be per unit volume. we are trying to find no. of electrons in a semiconductor in conduction band, it depends on size of the semiconductor material - to avoid that dependency, we try finding per unit volume. Hope that helps.

Sir I have a question ...how it is possible that a energy level have more than one states.....plzz answer it with example 🙏
@techgurukula5 жыл бұрын
@@amandeeppandey1901 according to pauli's exclusive principle - no two electrons can have same quantum state. But they can be at same energy level. Hence, there can be multiple electrons at same energy level in a system.

These videos are wonderful and I appreciate creators. I realize that about Boltzmann approximation: You need to solve difficult integral which contains 1/{1+exp((E-Ef)/kT)}. If exponential term is at least 10 times greater than 1, you can ignore 1 at denominator and solution becomes easier. exp(2) is 7.39 and it is insufficient. exp(3) is about 20 and sufficient to ignore 1. So you can say if (E-Ef)/kT is more than 3, you have a better solution by assuming 1/{1+exp((E-Ef)/kT)} = exp(-(E-Ef)/kT). That is what I understand.

yashfernandojain : you need to do your higher secondary again you dumbass 😂 its relevent to exponential function , at what limit it dominants 1 which is need not to explain here . 😂 . the physical significance of 3kt is briefly told in mass action law video which simply stands for diffefence between firmy level and Ec or Ev.
