Hello, For me though the functionality of the validation works but it throws the below error : core.js:6185 ERROR TypeError: Cannot read property 'NameNotAllowed' of null at ToCustomValidationTemplateComponent_Template

Instead of errors. Use controlname.hasError('errorName'). Sorry it is late reply but just saw this video
