Tail Light Removal/Install 01-07 Grand Caravan/Town & Country | Turn Signal/Reverse Bulb Replacement

These vans are just so super easy to work on! It's one of if not THE best Chrysler vehicle ever made in my book. Changing the turn signal or reverse light bulbs on these vans is easy and should only take 5 minutes at the most.

While you are there, why not clean up the connections and apply a little dielectric grease?

Well I feel bad. I broke both of those plastic plugs but one still works kind of. I broke the plastic thing holding the light in place and the little metal contacts clips came out and it appears one broke. If this is an easy job then I just can't do it. I may buy a new assembly and replace the whole thing.

I like to practice at a salvage yard. I collect the fasteners, electrical sockets and the lens assembly at a much lower price than a new one. If I break it on removal I can figure out how it is attached so that I don't break mine. Sometimes you can find these parts on e-bay or amazon for a lot cheaper than what a dealership/stealership has to charge.

The reverse bulb does not need a relay or resistor. The signal bulb needs a resistor.

Which bulb ( there are only 2 as far as I can tell) do you replace if you turn on your lights at night and nothing comes on in back? The turn signal, brake lights and reverse work.

It's sounds like your car is staying in drl mode. Those are the only bulbs in the rear not sure which ones you're trying to replace. Licence plate?

did you ever had a blinking issue with the leds in the back? in the font of our 07 with under 57k miles, dodge grand caravan with the 3.8L i had to put in a resistor for the DRL's, do i need one for the back or no?

I didn't need one for the reverse light. But the signal bulb needed a resistor.

@@TechiePocket1 I’m curious. I want to get leds for the rear. The whole front end is led converted and so is most of the interior. Because of the design how they made it different in the rear for the lights how did you install a resistor?
