Sounds like they need to be reset. If that fails you should return and exchange them.

Thank you. I just got the AirPod pro 2. Followed your guide to help set up. I had no idea about ear test! I had to go thru all 4 sizes. I was surprised L was best seal. I started with medium and kept going down sizes. Last choice to pass test was L! I’m a bit worried, I’ve read a lot of reviews on Apple about AirPods starting to make noises after a year. Have you experienced this?
