Quick question. Looking for a monitor to work. Really two as I run a dual monitor setup. Been looking at the Asus XG27ACS, AOC Q27G3XMN and the Acer XV271UM3. No gaming will be done on these. Don't do video editing so HDR is not really needed. Which would you choose.

I might be stating the obvious, but that’s because newer technology and models come out at the same price making it make no sense to pay full price for a couple years old model, so naturally they lower the prices otherwise people would just pick the newer model for the same money.

What is your opinion on going 24 inch instead of 27 inch for a budget 1440p mid refresh rate monitors? Have been contemplating buying AOC Q24G2A as my first monitor.
@ImDazzling2 ай бұрын
I'm considering this as well actually! I have been using a 24-inch 1080p 144Hz monitor until now with 92 PPI; going to the Q24G2A would bump the resolution to 1440p obviously + increase the PPI to 122, which should result in a very sharp, clear image! Got this idea 2 days ago by seeing a video "Only TWO monitors like this exist" that's also on this channel!

@courageoyibo6716 I have a bad eye for colo accuracy, though, according to the rtings review, if you want accurate colors, the srgb mode is pretty much as good as it gets. Hdr is fantastic. I primarily use it for everyday use (watching videos, text editing and gaming), not for content creation. Black smear is noticeable in very high contrast situations, such as very bright text on a pure black background. Other than that, I just don't notice it. Speaking of contrast, the monitor can reach 10000:1 contrast with strong local dimming.

for valorant competitive it´s better 1080p or 1440p? at high refreshing rates, for example the Acer Nitro 27" WQHD 2560 x 1440 PC IPS Monitor has 240Hz, but i found a KTC 1080p with 400 hz for almost the same price, what would you recommend?, please help me🙏🏻
@Scotts_Place2 күн бұрын
It depends on your components/specs, however Valorant is not exactly a demanding game. 1080p you're generally getting better response times and flexibility hitting a higher refresh rate/FPS, and you will have better options/availibilty. I would go for a decent 24" (23.8) 1080p monitor, but you absolutely don't need a 400Hz display. It's completely overkill. Also KTC I'm not sure I've heard of and I don't know what their track record is. To get the most for your money, I'd be looking at something in the 144-240hz range. You can get very decent monitors capable of 165hz-180hz and 240hz these days.
