Thanks for the review I have a corded hedge trimmer I cut the cord once by accident I’m tired of the corded one pain in the neck. Plan on getting one tomorrow I have the ego lawnmower and ego leaf blower they work awesome me and gas powered tool don’t get along always a problem getting the gas tools started every spring ego is the way to go when my snowblower fries going to get ego snowblower

Steve, thank you and it sounds like you’ve got batteries so if you get the hedge trimmer, you can buy the tool only but definitely compare the price of the kit because you’ll probably get a battery for just a little bit more

Got a kit for $105 at Lowe’s on clearance today. What a great hedge trimmer.

Not to bad. The Greenworks has a rotating handle for your front trimming. Helps out a ton!

Thanks for the review. I initially got an EGO blower for the reviews, battery life, etc. But I ended up staying with and buying more of their stuff because of the support. I got an extra charger on eBay and had an issue with it (it was user error, my fault) and their phone support was phenomenal. So… “A+++” highly recommended 😄

@@TechMadeEzy Just got it in the mail. Curious: Is there a particular type of lightweight machine oil you’re commend using with it (or recommend against)? E.g. should I avoid the standard issue solves-all of WD-40? (I haven’t lubricated it yet so no worries there!)
@TechMadeEzy Жыл бұрын
I haven't lubricated it honestly, but I might look into that, I'm sure there is something we are supposed to use
@patricknelson Жыл бұрын
@@TechMadeEzy I’m guessing probably not since WD-40 is more of a solvent that I think can have some lubricating effects, but eventually evaporates away (at least from what I understand). Machine oil sticks around and keeps lubricating. Probably will just get some 3-in-1, since it can’t hurt to have that around anyway.

I have the ego power+ battery from my line trimmer and I have the Dewalt 20/60 Flexvolt from my power tools. Trying to decide which trimmer to go with. Curious that the dewalt 5 amp battery is so much smaller than the ego 2.5
@TechMadeEzy4 ай бұрын
I’m not familiar with the Dewalt battery, but the ego battery is 56 V that might be why Also, definitely take a look at the options they’re going to give you before you make your decision. You don’t wanna buy into an ecosystem that’s gonna be limited. Again, I’m not familiar with a Dewalt ecosystem when it comes to outdoor tools.

Did I miss something? No mention of 'run-time' with the included battery (not the expensive backpack one you show) ?

Informative video. Thanks BTW: It is bugging me with your 2nd hedge you trimmed. You have a 'Tree/Bush' growing in the left side. Did you remove it yet? :) Also, did the battery that came with the hedger was it the one with a 'Fuel Gauge'? (Newest Version) I recently purchased the Ego Trimmer and I was not happy it came with the older battery. (No Fuel Gauge)
@TechMadeEzy3 жыл бұрын
Hi OldDood thanks for watching, seems these come with the older type battery from what I’m seeing. Hopefully they will update the stock to the new fuel gauge battery. Leave my bush alone 😀

Hi Robert and thank you 👍🏼 I wish I knew the name, it was always a green bush and then it just changes color all of a sudden.

Had HT2411 for just over a year and the gray plastic where the front handle attaches has disintegrated on both sides - wrong choice of material - should have been polycarbonate for such a stressful attachment point, not PVC. Fortunately an easy fix is two stainless pipe clamps in a cross pattern.
