John taught me to shoot this way...he had me hitting a one inch wide stake at seventy meters on day one

Wow what a lovely series-sometimes the old simple instruction is just the best. I’ve always admired Howard Hill’s fluid shooting style but I’ve never heard the reasons behind it described so well. Schultzt is a great archer but also very thorough teacher. Modern-day compound bows can’t be shot this way with all the peep sites, pins and complicated releases, but if we pick up a traditional bow these days the tendency is to copy the vertical style with a compound bow, the long hold and the long slow release of compound shooters. But Schultz’s video shows that shooting a traditional bowl has it own unique and extra fun style to it rather unlike compound bow shooting. I’m so glad I discovered this again to be able to practice and utilize this unique intuitive style to maximize the thrill of shooting a simple stick and string. Many thanks to whoever posted this, it’ll increase my joy of shooting even more. And Jason thanks for being the guy Tossing all the stuff in the air for your brother and dad during this video.
