Awesome, now I'm just waiting for the pinky wedge baseplate, for us carriers in NY state who have to stick with 10 round magazines, I'd love a baseplate that gives me a full 4 finger grip!!

Sue the state. Now that we have the new 2A Constitutionality test mandated in the NYSRPA case, you’ll absolutely win. There is no historical analogue to today’s magazine bans nor any early American tradition of doing so. SCOTUS has already sent the CA mag capacity case back to the lower court for re-evaluation. Don’t seek a workaround. Kill this problem at its root, my friend.

I would like to mention to all the people who have been complaining about Shadow Systems designing a proprietary magazine for the CR920 versus a Glock type magazine. Yes you can't use Glock magazines in it, but (with the exception of the Mossberg MC1SC) you can't really use a Glock 43/43X/48 magazine in any other firearm (including other Glock models) so those to are more or less a proprietary magazine. Granted being able to use Glock mags can make getting extra mags easier, but Shadow Systems wanted to design a higher capacity sub-compact while keeping the same overall grip length of the original Glock 43 to make it as easy to conceal as possible in a wider variety of situations vs the longer grip of the 43X/48.

Proprietary yes BUT it is a 13 round magazine in essentially a subcompact frame. That's awesome, and it's exactly why my wife bought 1. I carry the MR920 Elite or the DR920 Elite daily. Haven't carried any of my 19's or 17's for 2 years.

Will there be an available barrel to use the newly discussed comp model addition, to the current smaller models? Always like to test and offer an opinion for our fellow disabled vets/smaller stature folks that can apply additional options to mediate handling. Certainly will be testing the full-sized comp for our DR920 ELITE SS2009. I finally got my CR920 running well. Never heard anything back from calls, here, or email. A Dremel and some polishing compound after 350 rounds, got me over the hump. Was hoping to hear from some of that good custo service, but I did not. No biggie. Always good to KNOW the dealio. People are busy and always an active time of year. Great video. Glad I've added a couple different models to inventory. I'll def consider more. That XR is looking like a must over the MR. Also good to see you offer a program for mil! Very considerate. Maybe I'll test that program and call it even on the lack of response. I simply like to be sure about things before I adjust/touch. These are obviously very user-friendly. Like most. Always great videos and info. Hope to hear back. Keep up the great work. These are superior tools.

My CR920’s 13-round magazine only held 12 rounds. SSC sent me a replacement, which I asked them to open the packaging and test before shipping it. They did and the replacement does hold 13-rounds. They said it was just a one-off problem. I ordered two more 13-round magazines and those also hold 13 rounds comfortably, so I guess my first one was just a random lemon. Outstanding customer support, though.

The CR920 is my only Shadow Systems gun. I saw it at the store and bought it because it felt great in the hand, especially with the 13rd magazine. I did the email notification for magazines and bought 4 more 13rd magazines when they were in stock. I also bought 2 more 10rd magazines only because the baseplate can be switched out to the 13rd baseplate, and those will eventually be on the website for sale as well. I’m glad they kept it at the Glock 43 size frame and used their own magazines. It’s more compact than my 43x, and I trust the SS mags to work in the gun, as opposed to me not trusting my Shield Arms 15rd magazines in my 43x.

Just picked up my first Shadow Systems gun last week. It was the CR920. I was a little nervous from some of the recent barrel stuff but as a company y’all did awesome addressing it with transparency. Happy to say I had 100 round of 115 fmj and zero issues so far. Only bummer was opening the gun, it came with two 10 round mags, instead of one 10 round and one 13. The site is sold out so hopefully I can nab one soon.

I’ve looked for the baseplates to convert the 10rd to 13rd mags. They don’t exist. I did the opposite. Bought the cr920, bought the last two 10rd mags (cr920 mags sell out within 10 min when they’re available about every 6-8 weeks) so I bought an mr920. Since mags are so unavailable for the cr920 elite I’m contemplating selling it off because come winter I’ll just carry the mr920.

Have to say I love the gun and shadow systems as a company along with my other shadow systems Firearms. What I’m upset about is I got my CR 920 back in early May, I have not been able to find these magazines in stock at all. Further my barrel has been recalled from shadow systems that I sent in the end of June,and I have not received anything yet. My gun has been sitting idle and I will not carry it with the malfunctions I’ve seen online and experienced personally in training, without the new barrel. Being a huge fan of shadow systems and a huge supporter, i’ve invested money in a gun that is not useful to me to carry at this point. You have to learn to train with both magazines (which are very different dynamically speaking) because that is all you can get at this point. Being said, I can’t wait until this gun is ironed out because I think it’s the best on the market.

Would be super awesome if the mags were available more than 10 min every 6-8 weeks before they’re sold out. I got lucky and bought the last 2 10rd mags last restock. Babying my 13rd my cr920 elite came with. To the point I just bought an mr920 combat optic and GL9 mags until I can stock up on cr920 mags. I prefer the cr920 but I only have 2 10rd mags to practice and one 10rd and one 13rd carry mags for the time being.

I was able to buy like 4 more of the 13 rounders a while back, had my buddy and I on an email list and since he's at a desk for work I figured if it happens during work hours he could buy them for me on the spot and I'd pay him back. Ended up happening late in the day and I was right in front of my PC at the time. Now I have 5 of the 13 round mags and 1 10 rounder. I'm very happy with this gun.

@CTS HXP That’s actually a good idea. I’m on the email when back in stock list. The first time I made it just in time to get the last 2 10rd mags. The time after that it was like 6:00pm and I was busy when I got the email. I hurried to finish and they were gone in less than 15min. I’m he second time a month ago or so it came in around 2:30 and I missed it by a couple hours. That’s a good idea to have a few people on the email list and if they get to it before I do just pay them back. Pretty good idea. If all of my friends and I make it… we’ll you can’t ever have too many mags. Good call y’all!

Does the WA compliant edition come with 2 10 round flush fitting magazines? Or does it come with 1 extended grip mag that has been reduced from 13 to 10 to be compliant?

@shadowsystemscorp looks like lots of folks are interested in a higher capacity magazine. Any plans for that in the near future? Even with the 13 round magazine, my pinky hangs halfway off, it would be nice to have an extra quarter inch or so of length.

I truly admire the improvements you all have made to the Glock style platform. I just wished the guns ran right of out the box. The 200 round break-in seems to be closer to 300 or 400 rounds as reported by numerous owners I’ve spoken to, myself included.

Which Magazine Carrier is compatible with your proprietary CR920 magazine ? I use Vedder OWB and IWB for Glock 43xMOS holsters, which fit GREAT, but I am not sure about which MAG Carrier fits the CR magazines...

That extended baseplate gets stuck in my hand when I’m trying to reload. So I have to strip the mag as opposed to it dropping free. I don’t want to get a gun that requires me to add an additional action to my trained operations. On top of that, one of the 2 mags it comes with, I would never use, as I hate not having my full hand on the gun. Then I have to pay extra to buy the mags I would use. If you had based it off the 43x frame, this would be just about a perfect carry gun. As it stands, I bought the 48. It doesn’t shoot as nice or feel as good in the hand, but it doesn’t make me retrain my reloads or give me only one usable mag. I know you guys were trying to appeal to the 43 AND 43x crowds,and I’m sure there are people who love it. It just doesn’t work for me.

Just curious if you plan to add the window/indicators for the 13 rd magazines. I know it's a cost savings in terms of the tooling to use the same 10rd body on the 13rd w/base plate, but it is slightly disappointing to not have the windows to see how many rds are actually loaded.

Depends on your use. Any time you suspect mud and other debris might have entered into it. But if you're just going to the range and carrying without doing anything extreme with your firearm, then a good once over detailed cleaning and function check of all your equipment 3-4 times a year should be fine.

mag lock sells the 10 round spacers for the 13 round magazines I used them on MT Hi Power's 13 round mgs. My problem living in NJ, No online store will ship the magazines to me !!! Who needs a gun that you can't shoot correctly ?

Please cover the topic of recoil spring issues alot of us are having. During cleaning I damn near have to rip mine out causing damage on the front of spring. Just a matter of time b4 it breaks. Any thoughts?

My recoil spring assembly broke while sitting on my desk as I cleaned my CR after a trip to the range. The RSA definitely has some quality concerns.

@@mrarchangel1 SS offered to send me a new RSA. My CR was still having FTF and FTE issues after the new barrel and trigger group. My striker is also showing excessive wear from hitting the safety plunger. The gun clearly still has issues. So I sent it back to SS.

Don’t buy the cr920 elite I have 2 of them and I have a dead trigger on one of them it’s my carry I can’t rely on this pistol such a shame because I use to love this pistol but can’t trust it with my life . Customer service pretty much said I’m stuck . Don’t buy this gun I have video for anyone that wants to see what happens and email saying there’s nothing that can be done.
