Thank you. I've been carrying for 4 years now and never knew any of these tricks. I've been doing these things the hard way this entire time!

THIS ("Technical Tuesdays") is why I am so proud to be a part of Team Shadow Systems! I really like the way you guys discuss various aspects to improve both proficiency and accuracy, as well as increasing mechanical knowledge! This was GREAT; you gave me a USMC flashback!😂 Tapping my mag's against my kevlar to ensure rounds are properly seated.👊🏽 I appreciate that loading technique! I always carry a speed loader with me, but I'm going to try your new technique to build proficiency and get off the titty! Like Beach landings, keep these AWESOME Technical Tuesday episodes coming...HARD AND FAST!😂🤣😂 Semper Fi Brothers!

BRILLIANT!! What would cause someone to give this vid a 👎🏻?? Helpful and informative customer service is key, all gunmakers should take this tip from SS. The goal of these vids are their pistols and ultimately the user’s shooting success.

Great mag tips. I'll try the bottom mag tap as well with the tapping the mag on your palm to set the rounds. I been doing the palm tapping one since I started shooting back in December. I notice after loading a magazine, I heard the rounds ' rattling ' in the magazine. So I took the magazine sticker pin/primer side of the round and tap the magazine up against my left palm until the rattling sound went away. It's works! I'm most definitely going to do the bottom magazine tap as well.

I like to disassemble new mags, clean them then spray some Teflon dry lube inside of them. I let the solvent carrier dry and reassemble. They are noticeably easier to load then as well, especially the Pmags.

The only issue i have with PMAGS is that the follower gets dirty really quick. A box or two and you go from orange to black. Then you start to have friction when you insert new rounds, you can feel the round grinding on the follower and you have to be careful so they seat properly. Otherwise they're G2G with the MR920.

It's unfortunate that the polymer used by the magpul magazines has less lubricity than the steel liner of OEM glonk brand glonk magazines. I have found that magpul magazines are far more sensitive to dust/dirt, and more ammunition sensitive as well. They don't like aluminum or steel case ammo, whereas OEM glock magazines handle it fine.

@shadowsystemscorp, what grain you like to shoot through the MR918? Saw the box on the table and I got curious. Good tip on the follower. I’ve learned the hard way to not let that carbon cake up. Slide lock killer.

You guys have an opinion on using pmags in Glocks? I hear mixed things from they’re fine to never trust them. I usually like oem mags but being that they’re p mags and p mags are just fine for ar’s I’m curious.
@jtdundee
@jtdundee Жыл бұрын
I haven't had a problem using Pmags in my PSA Dagger... which is a clone of the Glock 19. One thing I did notice is they wiggle a hair more than OEM mags. And when it comes time to eject the mags from my Dagger, the Glock mags need an average of 8.5 pounds pressure on the mag button but the Pmags need 7.5 pounds of pressure. The difference is easily felt and appreciated.

Now often should you unload your mags to take pressure off the spring. I currently just rotate them in and out every month or so. Thanks
@Trolldaddy5
@Trolldaddy5 Жыл бұрын
You should leave them loaded or unloaded. It's the repeated compression and decompression that wears out springs. Not being either loaded or unloaded all the time. Essentially, you could leave it loaded almost forever, and it won't wear out. It's the loading and unloading that wears them out.

The ONLY negative video I could find related to the MR918 is related to a mag issue. Do you think this video could answer that person? He noticeably did not allow comments on his video. So I’ve been looking to an answer to his issues online. He also had an issue with the slide not seating with a suppressor. I am guessing user error somewhere.

Im sorry but pmags for pistols are not well built mags and i would never teust my life to them. I use glock mags for carry and the pmags that came with my shadow guns i use at the range and they work but have alot of malfunctions. They also dont like steel case because theres no metal liner.
