The precision 1911s print under 1.5 inches at 50 yards. But still great on the Mr920 shooting that group.

I have built (and I mean hand fit) Glock clones that will go as small as 2" at 50 yds, but out of the box? I'll take a Shadow Systems. I've been down the ZEV trail. Twice the price for the same groups and a very mushy (but lighter) trigger. ZEV uses 4# striker springs. Put a 4# in the SS and it's the same weight, but "crispish".

Gotta try the ransom rest with the dr920p vs dr920 to measure reduced recoil. Or throw on the radian afterburner and ramjet.

Any chance you guys can address the tons of issues with the CR920? Seems time for a Come To Jesus moment and confession. Even after the barrel thing and some out of spec triggers that slipped through, I’m still seeing tons of trigger problems and light-strikes and FTE, etc. One guy had a crooked barrel and it took months to get it replaced and returns. I expect a few lemons, but it seems out of those who shoot a lot way too many got lemons. Of the three of us who got one locally (recently), all had issues and were sold at a loss. YT has tons of positive tabletop reviews or 100rd reviews, but forums tell a different story. Many who shoot a lot have given up on the CRs. I LOVE the gun, and want one that works, but I just think there’s either inherent design problems or major QC issues with out of spec parts or something. Others think it’s the magazine design that’s flawed, but I’m not buying that. What IS the deal?

Jed, thanks for the comment. First, let me say that I am sorry to hear you had a negative experience with the CR. I am more than surprised that all of you had issues. I would love to speak with you personally to learn more. I’ll find your contact in our customer service data (I’m hoping you did contact us?) and give you a ring, if that is okay. In terms of your broader question, it is difficult for me to answer without sounding like I am denying or deflecting. Your experience, and the communities you frequent, obviously have given you an impression that is quite different from the experience and information sources I use. Here is what I can tell you is factual based upon my own experience and our customer service data. - CR pistols are under represented in the customer service complaint category “Feed Reliability.” That means on a percentage basis, our CR sales as a percentage of total sales is roughly 5-6x the percentage of CRs that are in this complaint category versus the total guns in this complaint category. Sorry, I couldn’t find a better way to write that. - This completely aligns with my own experience. Because of the CRs lightweight slide, and some design choices we made in the magazine, it is almost impossible for me to limp wrist a CR. I can do it with our other guns, and every other full size/compact pistol on the market, but not the CR. - Our experience with light strikes is that most of them are off center strikes. We do see cases of shooter’s hands dragging on the slide at close and the gun being a tiny bit out of battery. This can yield the “click-no-bang” failure. True light strikes have been seen on some S&B ammo and that Turkish Ingman stuff. Those loads just happen to have very hard military primers. I have never had a light strike in a CR and neither has anyone on our testing team across the range of ammo that we shoot. - Regarding, trigger issues, I will see what I can learn from the CS team. The CR is spec’d a half a pound heavier than the other guns, and I know there were some complaints about this early on. But it sounds like you are referring to something else. Perhaps we can discuss this too. As I always say, it is never our intent to dodge issues. That was why we took the “butt barrel” challenge head on. At the same time, we just are not seeing the trend you are in our data and testing. I am hoping we can connect to discuss this more. Trevor

@@ShadowSystemsCorp THIS is why I bought another CR today. Because I really do have faith in you guys, AND because that gun just feels and points better for me than ANY gun I've ever shot...and I've owned and tested a lot. NOTES: 1. This isn't my name. I assume this account got this name based on my teenager using it (maybe Jed is a character in a book/movie). I also have a reddit name that I would never in a million years have picked--something like "Witness_Present". Kayli told me she thought the off-center hits were from an out-of-spec RSA and send me a knew on. But I'll let you know if I have any issues with the new gun. 2. I doubt I was dragging my hand along the slide, BUT I do know the light-strikes were S&B (though some were also Fiocchi). I normally only shoot American Eagle, but have been saving that and shooting cheaper stuff. When the new CR comes in, I will run AE 124gr through her, and then some Magtech. I do think some reviewers are using reman and other crap ammo as well as aluminum and steel, which would be unfair to the gun. 3. I can't wait to try it out again. Ordering a pinky extension now.

@@jedcoupland8587 How did the new gun work out?
@jedcoupland8587 Жыл бұрын
@@ifly64s It's been 100%. I put a JG trigger in as soon as I got it (just because I prefer the newer trigger design (no s-spring)), and have at least 1200rds through it. It hung up maybe 1 or 2 times in the first 50-60rds, but never since. I just really love the way these point and shoot for me. I've had at least 7 or 8 of the 365 variants because I love them, but they just don't shoot as soft and point as well for me as the CRs.

Some (or most) "accuracy" tests on youtube are hilarious. A bunch of flinchers firing guns offfhand and getting terrible results. But... ransom machines era almost impossible to find in my country. They are heavy, the shipping costs more than the whole machine.

:-)) Let me enlighten you on something Ransom Rest is more inaccurate than an average marksman. Put a under barrel laser and a camera on the target and you'll understand why. And you don't shoot by hand, but with a rest too. From this distance, Iron Sight and without rest I can make you a group as yours and even better. P.s. In shooting, there is something called WOBBLE. All amateurs think this is a very bad thing. In reality, this phenomenon often leads to more accurate shooting than that of a rest, if this wobble is with size comparable to that of a pistol's static accuracy and the random dispersion of bullets. I first noticed this when shooting with airsoft pistol about 30 feet away. My groups were too small and I imagined that the gun was much more accurate than I was. Imagine my shock when I put the same gun in a vise and saw that its actual accuracy was lower than mine. I had to specially make a program that analyzes the movement of an attached laser to find out that mine wobble was less than dispersion of bbs, but not as small as the static one in vise. This means that my wobble drag the groups smaller, at the expense of some flyer here and there when the wobble coincide with dispersion of the bbs.

Why anyone would pay for spiral fluting a handgun barrel is beyond me. It's removing weight from exactly where you want more weight. Remove material from the slide to a point yes from the barrel heck no. Not if your after control target acquisition revovery, muzzle flip mitigation. The best way for polymer guns is with a rds 2-3 moa dot or better yet the dpp triangle dot. Bthenbafter each shot recheck the dot is at the exact same poa. Polymer guns tend to shift in the clamp. You also have to be very repeatable in your procedure using a ransom rest. But show me how many even national level handgun shooters could hold 4-5" 10 shot groups @ 100 yds or 1" @ 50? Heck 99% of the handguns people have or their loads are not even capable of that. 9mm new starline cases, 5.8-6.0gr power pistol, fed SPP, 115 xtp. OAL 1.10-1.16 depending on your barrels chamber throating. It's a snappy load for bullseye but 9mm cases seem to need the psi. That load will get me 1.13" @ 50yd 10 shot from an accuized polymer pistol from a R-rest. (Trigger job, slide to frame rail fit, fitted barrel (bottom lug, hood, muzzle) You need a gun that has good barrel unlock timing (long dwell time)
