The Rose Technics RT-5000 is $599, not $1000. Apparently the covering is real leather, not simulated, and the front panel is real wood, not plastic. Wondering if any of this changes your opinion.

My early prototype definitely had plastic wood and I noticed they reduced the price substantially. The interface is so bad and the fact that the FIIO K9 costs $599, I’d still say it’s overpriced. Maybe $299 would be more reasonable.

Mine is a Yamaha Aventage RX-A3070 from 2017... with ESS Sabre pro ship...

If the question is use the RT-5000 or your RX-A3070, I'd say stick with the RX-A3070. If you mean what do you miss between an RME ADI-2 vs the RX-A3070, the RX-A3070 isn't completely transparent (the RX-A3080 has a SINAD of 80 dB, which I'm assuming is the same in the RX-3070, where true transparency comes above 90 dB). The other thing you would be missing is headphone amplifier power. The Yamaha RX-A3070 doesn't specify the power, but the fact that they promote their $7000 A-S3200 has a 50 mW headphone output makes me think the Aventage doesn't have any more than that. That is not enough power to drive inefficient headphones - but plenty for an efficient headphone.

The Devil Child of Hifi Rose and the real Technics, this is as ugly as a Pug having a facelift. All the design aspects clash with one another and look like they have been harvested from other products. It is a Frankenstein monster of a Dac/amp and requires the urgent attention of a hundred angry villagers with torches.
