Technics Turntable Dustcover Hinge Repair Instructions

The hinges I bought are not as elaborate as the one you are using. You did a great job, I didn't think of using the multi-toolbut that makes the job much easier (I was going to cut with a coping saw instead). Also, using the masking tape is a good precaution for not damaging the surface of the dust cover. Thanks for the help, you did a fine job.

Nice video. Great job. Thanks. Any idea how to release the spring loaded black hinge that supports the dust cover tabs please on the back of the chassis of the tt? One has snapped (not on dust cover tabs) . Cheers

Can you tell me the distance between the bolts? I already installed an aluminum hinge, but the dust cover doesn't sit right. I want to know if the holes I have already made are compatible with the hinge you offer. Thank you

Dear Eduardo, if you give me the dimensions of your holes I can modify the hinge to fit yours. I wouldn't recommend using metal hinge tabs, since they don't flex, therefore putting extra stress on the dustcover.

I have a similar issue but with a JVC dust cover. JVC AL-A155TNX. They are not “broken” but the dust cover no longer stays up. Need to replace the hinges. Let me know if you can resolve this?
