I had an iPhone 7+ from 2016 to 2022. From March 2022 until a few days ago I was using an iPhone SE 3rd gen. The screen size on that phone is the same as the iPhone 7. It was way too tiny for me and as a result it was harder to use my phone. I really missed the larger screen of the 7+. But the 7+ had become so slow that even the most basic tasks such as checking emails or texting took painstakingly long. So I tolerated the small size of the SE 3rd gen for two years, until I got an iPhone 15 Pro Max. The larger screen size has made me more productive, and it’s so much easier to browse the Internet. Even typing is so much easier. As a photographer I’m really enjoying the great photo/video quality. This thing can shoot cinematic quality 4K video. I really don’t like the lack of a physical SIM card tray on the US models, so I purchased my phone in Canada when I was there for vacation. I love this phone!

I’m using iPhone 7 now in 2024. Battery life is kinda okay. If you are heavy user, 4-5 hours is the limit before you have to recharge

The main disadvantage in this phone is slow charge speed. After installing a battery with upgraded capacity I’ve got 8-9 hours of a screen time on battery save mode.

System 13 does not support KZbin, update it to at least 14, and Google Maps does not work until it is updated to 15 or higher, hahaha.

I agree it's nostalgic to used an old phone's camera... more realistic.. You're lucky you still have a working iPhone 7. mine already had a baseband issue which is sad i can't afford to buy one...

My first iPhone was an iPhone 7...then I upgraded to an 11 Pro, but then recently , I bought an iPhone SE 3rd Gen because it reminds me of my old 7...and I love it.

You keep saying the phone is good but don’t buy it which doesn’t make any sense. I use these older iPhones exclusively and never have issues with anything. Quit worrying about security so much it’s not really an issue like you think it is. Apps on iPhone are sandboxed and don’t have access to anything else in the phone data other apps etc.

Remember the idea of a mobile phone? Is for calling people. However with time it has become peoples mobile workstation and computer.. I simply use a phone to call or text people, and if it was not for the fact public phones no longer are available, I would opt out of a mobile completely. TBT

Just got a 128gb 7 to act as a dedicated iPod and completely agree with the look and feel in hand. I really love holding this thing! Now I'm grabbing a 256gb 7+ to do multi-duties for music, video, and reading. Crazy eBay deals! Thanks for a great video!

I'm still using an iPhone 7 (November 2024) and it's pretty good overall. I just bought a battery case so I'm not worried about battery life (I'm not really on social media and I'm going to buy a digital camera for talking pictures) 😊 I love the size of this phone so much.

If only Apple had better prices for battery replacements. Apple costs more than 100$ for something like an iPhone 11 and their competitors like Samsung even on their latest flagship(S24 Ultra) costs around 25$ (idk about US, but this is the price in my country). Mind you, iphone 11 is almost 5years, and S24U is not even 1year old.

System 15 still carries the most important applications, but the problem is not only with the applications, but also with lack of performance

The only reason not to buy it is the iOS limited to 15.7. To be fair most every day Apps still support this. I had to upgrade to an iPhone 8 to get iOS 16 just to run an app I need for work otherwise the iPhone 7 I had previously did everything I needed it to.

I've had this phone for more than 5 years now, soo for quite a while... I must say that even tho it's no longer receiving important updates, its still quite a nifty phone, I think its an ok phone if you're interested in entering the apple ecosystem, I've found it to be a great phone if interested in dipping toes into changing screens, bateries... easy to disasemble, parts are cheap on amazon, plenty of tutorials... Great build quality... camera does a great job even to this day...(I wouldn't bother using it in poor lighting) "only" negative is space at least for me (32gb version) with ios files and a couple of apps you're screwed basically, iCloud is a must and even then I still struggle... and battery life on this thing is atrocious, I mean the first 2 years it kept up pretty good, but afterwards even changing the battery its self is still really poor, I mean I wouldn't dare to use spotify for more than 2 hours, thats why I bring a 10.000 mAh battery brick with me :(

My 7s battery is about the same , I can literally see the battery percentage go down , the charge doesn't last long at all . Wonder if it would be worth having a new battery put in it ?
