Thank God we will NEVER have to endure a 35-minute video extolling the badass, ground-shaking, awesome virtues of battery-powered motors. Fuel, air, compression, and in some cases spark are the only ingredients necessary to make the spine tingle and the heart race. Well done.

I'm 60 plus years old now, and, i remember my dad was one of the last people who I knew working on them back in Manitoba when I was a kid. From steam to the Arrow in the airforce. It truly didn't matter what you needed repaired...anything....that man could fix it.. Sure miss him, and the world doesn't even know what has been lost....

The black engine is not actually a road locomotive, it is a ploughing engine as it has the drum and cable beneath it to connect to a plough which it dragged across a field working in conjunction with another one.

@ 18:00 the pratt and whitney J60 was never used in helicopters of any description. helicopters use a turboshaft engine not a turbo jet. the J60 was used in the North American T-39 saberliner, Lockheed C-140 jetstar, North American T-2B Buckeye navy trainer and the Fairchild SD-5 surveillance drone.

That jet semi truck reminded me of a drag car from the '60s and 70's called the Green Mamba or Green Monster (can't remember) a lot like the FireForce one at 17:10 but the cockpit was at the very front of the nose. The guy had it specially modified to throw a flame about 30ft. into the air and out the back. Basically a waste of fuel for show, when it was set for thrust the flame was blue and short. I saw him go around 260 mph in a 1/8th mile. I could be off slightly, it was 50 yrs. ago. Too bad we don't see incredible showmanship like that anymore. The Allison 12 cylinder aircraft engine on the tractor Black Gold sounded awesome.

That "J79" jet engine was not a real engine. It was just a large blowtorch.

@1:05, the engines weren't called "Phantom F4 Jet Engines". They were made by General Electric and had various J79 designations throughout its production run. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/McDonnell_Douglas_F-4_Phantom_II I wonder if the jet semi truck was one of Les and Kent Shockley's trucks.

Your description of the MWM RHS518A engine is incorrect - it is plainly an inline 8-cylinder. Count the exhaust manifold ports, & the injectors!

Nice cracked heads are in the future of the Detroit 6V53TT with running air inside the head's water passages that produced microscopic cracking with possible present observable cracking after running the engine with reving it. I hope they didn't sell this engine to someone.
