It's perhaps a little too technical in some respects and not quite the knock-upside-the-head of some of his other presentations, but anyone who watches this and actually understands it, should have their eyes opened. I don't understand why this guy is so pessimistic. There's over a trillion barrels of oil in the Alberta tar sand and over another trillion in Venezuela's tar sands(unfortunately). Plus there's a technology called coal gasification. Sure, they are all expensive but not outrageously expensive. The only problem is that were not building coal gasification plants except for China.

In Alberta there may be 700 billion barrels in the tar sands, but only 4.5 million bpd being extracted, and around 2 million is kept by Canada. It's very difficult to extract.
