Guys my mistake on choosing Liquid Freezer III 420 for my Proart PA602 case is a no, because this case only allows a radiator lower 34mm thick, somehow I managed to squeeze in, just that I am unable to close the top grill of the case fully, its a bad choice to choose artic aio as those radiator are massively thick . So if your going with 420 case , make sure the radiator is lower then 34mm
@ryanlong14217 күн бұрын
Yeah I bought this case and immediately returned it after finding this out. It’s a shame too because this is truly a beautiful chassis. Can’t help but feel like they did this on purpose though. It eliminates one of the most popular CPU AIOs making it more likely that you buy theirs.
@R.A.V1724 күн бұрын
it is possible to close it, you just have to cut off the 3 front prongs/clips that are supposed to sandwitch between the rad, and the front upper lip of the chassis. It is destructive, sure, but they dont serve much of a purpose, as there are many more along the sides that dont interfere.
@ryanlong1423 күн бұрын

UPDATE (11/26/2024): After just under 6 months my 'Clean dust filter' light came on. Only had to rock the front fan guard out about 2 inches to remove the filter and all it took was a light brush to clean it. The filter easily slid out and back in. I can now confirm that the dust sensor works! :) I bought the case based on your Ultimate Dream Creator Workstation video. I love it! This is the quietest case I have ever owned, but if you listen very very carefully, you can still hear fans/pump in a quiet room (… and you probably won’t notice that sound until you turn the unit off). Some things I found while assembling: - documentation is not a strong point with Asus. The diagrams for mounting the cooler were not clear and I ended up re-assembling the radiator and fans twice. - You definitely need screwdrivers with a strong magnetic tip. Working with screws in some tight areas was very difficult without one. - Mounting the Asus AIO was a major pain. The standoffs for the pump just barely came through the mounting frame enough for me to catch them with the thumb screws. I actually had to apply pressure to force the standoff threads high enough to be captured before I could screw the pump block down, and the thermal paste actually slipped when trying to get this mount to connect. - To use the recommended 1500 watt PSU with the stock cables, I had to abandon the internal shroud because the cables are very stiff, and there were manufacturers warnings about how much one could bend them. I also had to eliminate the double drive cage to allow me to store the cables without causing too much stress. The build shown in the video shows custom cables being used, and that may be the way to avoid what I had to go through. Contrary to the video - the internal shroud removal is a ‘pain’ and should be re-worked in later revisions to have some type of a quick release function. - As for the back cable management, I also have let some of the cables dangle. I also need to swap in 3.5” hard drives for external backups so I keep the back panel off. - Airflow is unbelievable. Standing 5 feet from the back of the case I can feel the air from the fans (and they are at ‘idle’ speed!). I’ve never had the fans reach full rpm when working with Photoshop or Lightroom. Maybe when I add Microsoft flight simulator will I see the fans hit full RPM. - I don’t need a glass side panel since this is a dark build, so I replaced it with a solid black panel I made using corrugated plastic board. This will also allow me to add an additional 200mm fan from my old case. I also replaced the screws on the slot covers with thumbscrews from my old case. Overall, I’m happy with the case and the AIO combination (once I finally got it assembled). There is room/need for improvements to some of the features. Being able to mount an AIO in the front panel area would be a plus. Also, several of the screws for mounting hardware should be replaced with thumbscrews. This case has screws - lots of screws! Asus should also consider offering a solid metal side panel (possibly with fan mounts) as an option. Sorry for being so long with my comment :)

@tomwojtowicz9567 can you maybe explain a bit more on the issues with mounting the proArt 420 cooler? or maybe even a short video showing and explaining? I'm about to buy this case and am considering the proArt 420 as well
@tomwojtowicz95672 ай бұрын
@@TheDudesRug Hi! There are 4 stand-offs that screw through the motherboard into the back plate. The top of these stand-offs are threaded to take the cooling head plate. Ideally, one would place the cooling head over the top of the stand-offs and just screw down the 4 corners with the supplied thumbscrews. Unfortunately, the threads of the standoffs are almost level with the hole tops of the cooling head plate. To get a thumbscrew to connect you have to apply slight pressure to expose enough of the thread to catch it. This is 'tricky' as the cooling plate can wobble while you're doing this. The goal would be to screw down opposing corners first so as to apply enough pressure to expose the threads of the 2 remaining standoffs. After that, all 4 thumbscrews will screw down easily. I actually had the cooling plate slip out from under me, which was frustrating. Once everything is connected everything works fine. As for my impressions after 4 months of use: The radiator is nice and quiet. The 200mm case fans deliver a huge volume of air even while idle. I can feel it standing 4 feet from the back of my case. Using the Intel 14700 CPU, I never reached a point where it thermal throttled (I'm not overclocking). I think the hottest the CPU got was 180F and that was for a short period. Normal high temps were about 130F-140F with idle temps in the 80's-90's. I have a thermometer on top of the radiator and the exhaust air temperature ranges from 80-88 F and holds normally at 82 F . My computer is now heating my bedroom now that cold weather has set in! I hope this helps :)

It’s was a breeze to build in and anyone having issues with cooler mounting probably shouldn’t be building PCs this was the easiest case to work with ever. So glad I got it, worth the price and the time to get it from Amazon.

This is probably the other best cooling option for a case to get since the Fractal Design Torrent does not have enough aio, cable, or hdd/ssd space. It’s reigned on top of the best cooling charts for years but unfortunately it’s strangely only for water cooling. I’ve been hoping they updated the model to have more space. Wonder how this PA602 would compare to it. Asus’ marketing and creator centered product lines are beautiful but i worry about their long term quality and especially their customer service which from my past experience has been lackluster.

I think Asus really nailed it with this new case, it strikes a good balance between form and function. I do prefer the Asus ProArt PA602 Wood version over the more muted standard version, but this is mainly for aesthetics. When building a new PC, I always opt for larger fans whenever possible, since they move more air at lower RPM. You get the best of both worlds here, with lower fan noise but without sacrificing performance. Once again, Asus hit the mark by placing the two large 200mm fans on the front of the case. There are many more pros mentioned in this video, and I'm glad that we have a new case that aims to stand apart from the rest but also offers great aesthetics and performance. We need more cases like the Asus ProArt PA602, one that covers a niche market (content creators) but it also competes with mainstream cases. Awesome job Asus and thanks Tech Notice for covering this case.

Its an awesome case, and if it was the same price as the North XL, I think it'd be the one for me! But I cant justify an extra £80/$100 for it over my north, particularly when I would feel pressured into buying their 420mm AIO rather than the Arctic 420mm which I got instead.

I got the case and let me tell you it can fit the both liquid freezer II and III 420mm radiators with a slight caveat. When Arctic released their liquid freezer III radiators got the 420mm version specifically for this case. 200mm fans and support for a 420mm radiator seemed like a dream to me, so when assembling all the parts I made the oversight that this case isn’t technically built for Arctic 420mm. Knowing that I’ve seen two builds on pc part picker that manage to fit that AIO as putting it in with the default setup will not allow the top panel to slide in fully and fit in flush. Keeping that in mind all I had to do was clip the three front clips and afterwards it was flush and slid in perfectly and I absolutely love it. Compared to my old system this case with a Arctic AIO is a dream maybe one day I would switch the stock fans on the aio with either the P12 Max or the Noctua next gen 140mm fans with the chromax black color way!

Mr Tech I paused the video at 02:17 and noticed something interesting vs NZXT H7 FLOW RGB Case which is also screwless. I can easily insert Graphics card where in the NZXT the rim at the side makes it tight to screw in screws where in this ProArt Case no such problem. In the ProArt Case the side rim makes space for inserting Graphics Card. NZXT take notice! The ProArt Case looks good, except too big. Mid Tower version of this Case would be good. In my NZXT H7 FLOW RGB Case I haven't yet installed all the Fans I purchased for the Build. The one single for the back of the Case and the Three Block Fans for the Bottom of the Case. So far there's just Six Fans and the Water Cooler is 30 Degrees and the Motherboard Led Light Says between 37 - 41 Degrees. Now I'm wondering do I need the other Fans? I think installing the Fan at the back of the Case it looks better since The NZXT H7 FLOW is also glass on the side. Tech what's your temps in the ProArt Case? Tech Notice I'm thinking "lets say that I wanted to transfer my build in the NZXT to the ASUS PRO ART would you take of the WaterCooler from the Motherboard or leave it on while you transfered?" My NZXT WaterCooler has Thermal Paste already on it so if I was to take it of I would have to clean and insert more Thermal Paste or is it possible to leave the Motherboard and WaterCooler still connected? For the money those plastics clips on the back breaking is not good. Why didn't they just press them out of the metal? One thing I wish reviewers would do is breakdown the materials of a case. Because of the colour you can't tell what is plastic and what is metal steel/aluminium. It makes a difference especially when the price is high. Most would prefer more metal than plastic and those cases tend to last longer and can take more abuse building in and out of. Those 200mm fans really great though. More case manufacturers should provide a line-up to that takes advantage of 200mm fans. What would be interesting is do the Noctua 200mm fans fit in this case? If these Asus ones ever had a problem or you could not buy replacements the Noctua ones are excellent and readily available as them make them in black also. I think that is one are Fractal with the best airflow case on the market still went a bit wrong. Not providing provisions for the front to accept the Noctua 200mm fans as 180mm fans are much harder to get hold of if you need replacements.
