I bought a kit with follow focus2 for a good price. I didn't have a chance to use it because i was injured 2-3hrs later the same day it was delivered to me. I did try some cameras on it though. I was able to balance Lumix G7&14-140lens, Nikon D500&50mm lens and Sony HXR-NX70 camcorder. I haven't experienced any vibrations though camcorder can't move fully i tilt axis (no torch mode with camcorder) but i'm impressed that I can use camcorder at all. I realise that it's not the best gimball but it's good enough for me and in good price. When my shoulder will be fully functional I'll check follow focus and I'll also check for jerking in pan axis.

Note sure why you are getting those little jumps/glitches when moving around but I do not have that problem on my AK2000. Often my camera may not be perfectly balanced and I don't have any of the jitters you are talking about. I've only had that happen when my payload setting was not set correctly. I use both a light GH4 and my heavier A7II. Appreciate the video! Just wanted to provide another viewpoint. Thanks!!

Yeah, I'm not sure either, and that one time it went completely weird and jumped all over, I updated to the latest firmware as well. Thanks for sharing your point of view as well, very interesting and helpful for the viewers!:)

Sigma 35 1.4 is quite long and heavy. Mine also performs like this. Jumps and Tilts. I am gonna sell it.

I have the A1000, and even though it has less weight capacity and it works with smaller setups, the performance seems to be more reliable than this bigger gimbal. Did you try the same shots with a smaller combo?

I was about to buy their updated model of this gimbal AK2000c, but now I'm not so sure.....it's hard to find reviews which mentions negatives of the new model like you did here and it's really suspicious, but found a review of the new version mentioning some delays when panning. I bought steadicam, but it's quite heavy for one hand, so that's why I am considering gimbal.. maybe I'll rather buy cheaper steadicam vest.

Great Video man. I bought the AK2000 for my Sony Alpha 6000 - now I got problems balancing the pan axis. Even with my travel zoom Tamron 18-200mm its not heavy enough. I think due to that I have very bad vibrations if I hold the Gimbal very low and also move from side to side. Do you have any tipps on how to handle that? Counterweights? If yes, which kind of? Thanks a lot in advance!!!

I agree. I have probably a first release. I'm experiencing some vibrations on the gimbal and weird jerk movements when tilting it side to side. It's a nice beginner gimbal, but definitely can't recommend it for paid work. Also the battery compartment hinge broke on me and they had to ship a replacement plastic part which is still the same. I feel it will only be a matter of time unless this snaps again.

Hello there, I'm going to buy this one, but this is the first video I found a lot of bad things about this Gimbal. Do you have any recommendation for another Gimbal at same price? In my country, I got other options: Moza AirCross, Zhiyun Crane Plus, Zhiyun Weebill Lab (About $50 USD higher)...
@theTechNotice5 жыл бұрын
Hey there, I know what you mean, researching the internet I didn't find many reviews talking about these sides of the gimbal, but you've got to know I really wanted to make this gimbal work and tried my best to do it... But recommendations for the same price.... hmm... it's hard, depends what cam you're shooting... maybe Ronin SC ?
@TechsReview5 жыл бұрын
@@theTechNotice Ronin SC is way out of my budget, it's more $100 USD than AK2000 here...

Thanks for the wonderful video, useful tips, and criticisms (the vibrations for 5s which last forever!) They all helped me better understand the use of this equipment. In exchange for a carry case, I have two old soccer socks that serve as a carrier! Which brings me to my last point: I could have sworn you were the Man Utd manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer in the first few seconds of this video!!! Sorry if that offends.

If you do paid work and you know/understand the Gimbal perfectly, why you could not make professional video with it? E.g.: for a videoclip you do not need to shoot long sequences and also you can edit out the glitches. If you are paid that is not a work what lasts for 2 minutes and you need perfect shots everytime.

I have a Sony A73 and I couldn't for the life of me to get it to work properly balanced. Also everytime I'd move forward the gimbal would sway away.
