I just bought an S24U on sale, coming from an old Note 9. And I'm disappointed with the audio playback via bluetooth and USB-C. My 6 year old Note 9 sounds far better and is closer to "bit perfect" audio than the S24U. That is insane considering 2018 tech vs 2024 tech. Sadly, I'll be sending the S24U back.

The biggest pro of this phone for me is the rectangle scrren without rounded corners- I think only ZTE phones (Nubia, Redmagic) and the imo overpriced Sony smartphones like the Xperia One VI have this "feature".

I think it will remain the best even after the S25 ultra appears. The S25U may have heating issues, exactly what the 15 pro max did when it went from 4 to 3 nm. it is possible to change the last camera to be 50.

I bought it couple months ago, it was sold to me as the “best battery” on android for what I can get in NZ. I play Pokémon go and its battery was very mediocre. Having to charge 2-3 x per day and temperature issues I faced. Swapped it for an iPhone 15 pro max and minus a bit of warming while I’m out playing, its battery is better. I wouldn’t purchase this if you’re playing Pokémon go or wanting good battery life.

Then they had a guaranteed trade in for any old galaxy ( i got 350 for an old s10 ) then there was an additional 5% off for purchasing through the samsung app. you have to look out for the deals as they change them regularly.

As a European, I would like to go back to the S24+/S24Ultra because Apple simply falls short in Europe without AI and other features. I went from 17.7 to 18.0.01 to 18.1 to 18.2 to 18.2 beta 3 and really nothing has changed in Europe... Super boring for such an expensive device. But the prices of the Samsung are absurdly high and are no longer worth their value since I now know how the Samsung S24 line works (I've had the S24+ twice, and the S24U also twice). But the Samsung watch Ultra I think it looks very nice on the wrist... Tough decisions..

Nevermind the Ultra, the galaxy S24+ gives the Pixel 9 pro and OnePlus 12 a run for their money. The main options on the Ultra is the Spen and camera module. Not worth the additional $$$ IMHO.

It's a nice phone but the speakers are terrible (or Samsung EQ), and the camera processing is actually not so great in my opinion. Nature shots are fine. Low light shots are just weird.... patches of softening then random artifacts which makes me think that they stopped working on traditional image processors and are counting on AI way too much. Selfies are actually trash. I am not made of plasteline lol. And if I reduce image processing to minimum, selfies are straight up blurry. What happened to great sensors and image processors??? Bloody AI crap..

Having done a little more research, I noticed something about the S24 line as a whole (ditto for the S23 line) that to me, totally restrains it in a deathgrip, preventing it from being the very best like no one ever was: the so-called "super fast charging" is really not much faster than the regular charging (which is already fairly slow). Worse yet, it hasn't improved much at all since the S22 line...maybe even before that. (Ex.: the S22/23/24 Ultras all hover around the 1hr mark to charge whether regular, fast, or "super fast") The S25 line is gonna need better battery charging performance as well...

Samsung ultra has no competition why? Its the only phone that offers some features that no other phones has . Only Huawei has something similar to dex but no spen . You can comare s24 ultra to features other phone has like good video and camera, fast processors, Cloud or on the phone data processing so called AI , battery life etc. But the fact you cant compare any phones to what it offers then they are not competitor . this is why i see it as benchmark for ultra phone . And i choose it . Spen for taken group photos is outstanding, signing doc , writing, painting, drawing , it highlights any page and best for smart select. Dex is next level, watch movies on your tv or monitor especially with third party app that play for free , play game while connected controller, email, browsing etc , split screen , dual recording, watching normal video in slow motion and able to save the slow motion there are lots. Samsung ultra is no match. For value for your money there is no phones out there that is competing.

used to have N20U, after almost 2 years of use, the green lines istarted to appear, then pink, then a white. sold it coz the cost to replace the screen is ridiculous. bought S22U, again, same old same old, green line on screen after 1 and a half year of use. never fall never overcharge not a scratch. not to mention the overheating problem, battery drain, etc. after the updates. thats it. Samsung sucks!

Well I had the the s24 ultra, the size got to me over the months and also the display always looked a bit grainy to me and I wasn't a fan of that.. Some people like that anti glare matte display look, I like mine crisp and glossy.. During sale got the smaller iPhone 15 pro.. The jittery scrolling and somehow lack of smoothness after spending so much plus the lackluster AI, I started missing AI features on my galaxy... So whats the best middle ground, Pixel...! Got the AI features I loved on the pixel 9 pro xl (couldn't buy the pro as it was more expensive since I got the international version of the xl and that wasn't available of the pro) and also its lighter than the galaxy, I absolutely love the display and its buttery smooth.. The other main issue with the iphone was the battery and that phone was a furnace, it heated a lot even while charging... This one is cool as a cucumber even in summers and battery lasts almost 2 days... So I'm good on that... Definitely a keeper.. Just 1 thing, they can still work with the bezels qnd make it smaller ...

I got rid of my s24 ultra I hated all the Ai when setting up the s24 ultra it takes 4.5 GBs of Ai core language packs a load of stuff I never wanted or use then 1.5 GBs to update all the apps it's heavy with a case it had great battery life big screen great sound it was like having a bulky boulder in you're pocket or jeans my next phone will be either OnePlus 12 13 oppo x8 ultra honor magic 7 pro or Xiaomi 15 ultra faster charging speed great battery life the Chinese phones are cheaper with great specs against Samsung Google Apple

It is beyond believe how obsessed people are of buying a new phone each year to keep up with the jones, It's only a blasted phone for goodness sake, as each year when the say, S23 ULTRA was the best, then S24 ULTRA came out, then they backtracked themselves say now the S23 ULTR is crap, now S24 ULTRA is the best, come best year same old what was best this year will be crap next year, can't blasted win, but until in palm of your hand, you will never know if good or not because some newer models can be more crapper than last years, Samsung is like Apple , plays everyone for the fool. S25 Ultra for the sakes $600 for example , like £450. more than reduced and still worth the buy, the S24 ULTRA, all you could paying for is shape, so-called chip which you wouldn't even tell of. and Ram, depending what size you go for, and the kill would be if social media app got band , and if like now, everything seems to be getting a pay per month subscription on all phones, as that will kill them off in my thoughts, don't jump straight in until you actually know what you want,
