How about those nuclear, 💎 diamond batteries 🔋 that can last 28,000 years. Yes, that's 28,000 years before they need recharging..

Those are very tiny output. Good for sensors and nothing else. Certainly will not power a car.

A car with a 75,000kwh battery pack would probably never need re-charging - mind you it would be a bloody heavy vehicle!

If you have just purchased a new EV with the highest charge capacity it will ever have. Who is going to get a battery change out with an unknown age and recharge ability. How many batteries will need to be kept on hand and fully charged? It seem like battery sharing /swapping is a novel idea but doubtful to be adopted for many reasons.

Battery swapping is an interesting option. Especially for people who live in apartments or condos without the ability to charge at home. However Toyota has had hydrogen fuel cell cars for 30 years and the closest fuel pump is 2000 miles away. NIO, I believe sells the car without battery so it costs less and they charge $12 per month for the services. This seems very reasonable. When the nearest swap station is 10 miles or less from my house, I'll think about it.

Building a simple EV that loses its wheels is not enough for Toyota? Do they really need the headache of complicating the manufacturing process and lose their batteries on the road together with the wheels?

The battery swapping will be made obsolete by newer technology.

So now there needs to be battery swapping stations everywhere - EVs are becoming silly now.
