Unboxing the Huawei MatePad Pro 13.2, fresh for 2024, with an early review of this tablet's performance, battery life and HarmonyOS software. The Huawei MatePad Pro 13.2 is taking on the iPad Pro with its specs, keyboard and stylus accessories, although as usual the apps situation remains stunted.
If you're after a large tablet which can easily convert into a laptop-style device, this definitely ticks those boxes. Although the keyboard dock does cost extra, as does that M Pencil stylus. The Huawei MatePad Pro 13.2 boasts a crisp X-True display with HDR10 support, which hits 1000 nits peak brightness. You also have a 6-speaker setup, for a solid media experience.
The Huawei MatePad Pro 13.2 may not be water resistant like Samsung's Galaxy Tab tablets, but it's splash resistant and just as impressively skinny. You've got a smooth HarmonyOS setup, so side-by-side app play is easy enough. However, there's no Google Services support, and Huawei's app store is more limited.

Huawei products have always been up there with the best of them, but the lack of official Google services is such a deal breaker for so many people. I still think if Huawei hadn't had the US ban they'd have become the number one worldwide electronics manufacturer and I'm convinced this is morew what worried the US rather than any security issues.

Yes I bought a Huawei fitness watch, as my first fitness watch, and it was an absolute nightmare to get working with my Android phone. I'm not sure why he recommends them, as when they work, brilliant, when they don't work, they're a ball breaking mess of weeks spent looking for a fix, trawling online for anyone with the same issue. I returned the watch, and got one android compatible, and that was the experience I was looking for. Reliable and consistent.

Good advice. If you want to remove this glue from your tablet, use a plastic cup from any bottle. You gonna remove any residue, without any scratches or what so ever

for those who says that you need Google play. I have matepad 11 everything works fine if you have a android phone and can transfer Google play apps. there is also an emulator for Google play in the gallery app store

I am still torn if I should get Huawei Matepad Pro 13.2 or Xiaomi pad 6 Max. I wanted a large tablet I could use for work (presentations, save and edit files on the go) and for personal (genshin, browsing the internet). However, I haven't seen anyone try playing Genshin in the former in reviews. I wonder if Huawei's could also handle demanding games like Genshin or the like?

Tbh i have a huawei matepad and the hardware is amazing but having no google services just ended up pissing me off too much. It was great when i had cracked it properly and native GMS worked well but after the Hormony OS updates GMS got blocked and the Gbox workaround I use now is just nowhere near as good. I would go for the Xiaomi max all day.

Definitely go for the Xiaomi pad 6 if you need Google services. It's a 14 inch monster tablet that has fast charging, good performance, and decent support. Though I must say MIUI leaves a lot of be desired, it's still bettery than harmony os for me
