The QN90B is a very good TV so far. Bright as hell. Blooming is so minimal that at times it comes pretty close to OLED. The black level is beautiful and deep black. Don't be fooled, this one really comes close to OLED! The sound of the TV itself is very good for a reasonably flat TV. Dolby Atmos is great. Convenient Home menu with clear place for your favorite apps. It all works intuitively and quite smoothly. The Tv comes with a very handy and light remote that charges itself with a solar cell or via usb c. So no more searching for batteries. The build quality is very good as we have come to expect from Samsung. Finally the central support is back.... A very heavy solid metal support. In short...here a very satisfied Samsung QE65QN90B user. 😉

Hi great to know l live in Australia and just bought one. Actually it's still in the box am waiting for it to be st up in a few days time. Prices in Australia are outrages compared to America. So l was forced to get the 50 inch. But desperately wanted the 55inch. I found the 50 for 1509 Australia dollars. Which l bargained down from 1895 $ For some reason the 55 was 2400$ which is a ridiculous difference for 5 inches. Then l was looking g on the internet again like ten days later and the 55 in ch was down to 1750$ So in ten days ut went down over 600. The shopp snapped it over and l played the difference. I can't tell you how happy l was!

@kenknowlton3085 Жыл бұрын
I just bought this model. It was a toss-up between it and the Sony X95K; I chose the Samsung. After careful analysis. For my reasons, I chose to go with the mini-LED platform rather than OLED/QD OLED. I discovered minimal difference between this and the 95 model. The QN95B comes with variable 120/144hz refresh rate and the One Connect; the QN90B does not. The casual owner will be unable to differentiate between the two displays. Rtings evaluated these, and both 75" models have 720 local dimming zones. Rtings is a good resource tool for device specifications. However, their ratings don't overrule viewer experience. I've seen all high-end manufacturer models and wouldn't be able to tell one from another. TVs have gotten that good. Good review. Thanks. You were helpful in my choice.

His review said this model comes with VRR 120hz. You're saying it doesn't?
@kenknowlton3085 Жыл бұрын
@CascadeJenkins The QN90B is 120hz native refresh rate; does not come with One Connect box (I didn't want the One Connect). The QN95B has a variable 120/144hz refresh rate; comes with One Connect box. QN95B is more expensive than QN90B. Both support VRR. Does that adequately clarify my posting?

@Ken Knowlton Also how are you enjoying the TV so far? I'm interested because as we speak I have this tv in my cart on Amazon and I'm doing my research before I plop down 3500 bucks.
@kenknowlton3085 Жыл бұрын
@@3rooklyn I researched panels for two months before making my decision. Are there better panels out there? Yes. If you have the money and can wait then the Samsung S95C and the LG G3 are the top contenders. Sony too but I don't remember the model. The con to these? $$$$$$$$ I paid $3300 for the 75" QN90B, matching sound bar, accessories, delivery, setup, all from Best Buy. Both the S95C and LG G3 are $4500. How much can you afford? How long can you wait? I bought the best panel for the money. My best friend bought the 65" Samsung S95B back in December; it's drawbacks were size limitation (55"/65") and the panels are fragile.(roughly a quarter inch thick). 'Blooming' is an issue with LED/LCD panels but you'll never notice it. I notice some 'color banding' but that may be the source more than the panel. It's got so many options under settings you'll be happier every day. Display is excellent under bright or dark lighting conditions. The alternatives mentioned above are better but are they $1500 better for you? I HIGHLY recommend you purchase through Best Buy and subscribe to their Total Tech program. (unless you're a professional TV installer and can do everything yourself); saved a bunch of money. I included 'in wall' mounting so all HDMI and power cables are out of sight; just a large panel clean mount. Feel free to ask anything else.

I can honestly say that when you get used to playing games at 120 fps and you go back to playing them at 60 fps it just feels sluggishly slow. 120 fps is definitely the way to go forward.

I have a 2020 65" LG CX OLED. It developed a thin black vertical line right of center. Fortunately, for the first time ever, I took out an insurance plan because of concern of burn-in and burn-out of organic LEDs. I'm receiving a replacement TV. I was offered another LG OLED, but I asked for and am getting this Samsung QN90B. Honestly, while the contrast on the LG CX is awesome, the color vibrancy on my 10-year-old Sharp Aquos is superior. I think I'm done with OLEDs. I'll sacrifice some blooming some of the time for bright vibrant colors all the time. Really hoping I'm not disappointed by the QN90B.

@@Truzak hi bob. I have had my qn90b for a few months and I am really happy with it over the oled. You will love it. First of all the brightness and pop of colors is impressive and it is a larger screen. Don’t feel bad that you don’t have the “super cool” oled.

tech Steve love to see u talk more about the auto clarity on and off see if flashing lites in movies effect it by getting black shapes appear as auto clarity is flawed on all Samsung tvs
@TechSteve2 жыл бұрын
Thanks but I don’t go that deep into my reviews, I’m not looking to find every flaw that 99.9 % of people will not notice or care.

Would the 43inch model have local dimming?

Did you check Samsung website
@FunFunFun88882 жыл бұрын
2:12 there are slots along the back of the tv and the stand for cable management. You can completely hide all the cables if you push them into the slots.
@TechSteve2 жыл бұрын
I use thick cables so the don’t fit, for some reason people don’t think I tested the groves

I did on a follow up video, plus if you look at it, no decent cable will fit unless it’s thin like spaghetti

Would you recommend this over the qn90a for the price?

I prefer the newer models, i don’t personally buy off of price alone

Hi Steve, thank you for the great review, i am currently setting up to buy one, curiously the dealer offered me a discount on a SAMSUNG 55" 4K NEO QLED TV QE55QN91BATXXC, and was looking for the QE55QN90B. I can’t seem to find reviews of the 91B or any spec differences on Samsung’s website, do you know if and where they might differ? Thanks allot from Denmark

How's the local dimming in game mode? Does it work at all? Does changing the input lag change the local dimming algorhythm? Thanks

Sorry, I don’t time to get into all of that right now, but I appreciate your input
