Please help with installing Samsung qn90b on 65 inches. Why is it better to put it with the display down to install the stand if it is not possible to put it on the table, as indicated in the instructions? I planned to put it on the sofa, having previously laid a blanket, but then I read that it was impossible to put it on the sofa, because due to the softness of the sofa pillows there would be uneven pressure on the matrix, which could cause damage to it. Maybe it's better to put it in a box? And if on the box, then where to put the packaging foam, the box from the TV is completely without rigidity.

I just got 85B and man the new menu really had me confused, I thought the “Home Screen” button was fine in previous years and one of the best they really ruined a good thing now switching inputs is a bit of a hassle. QN90B looks very promising I can already tell by messing with QN85B that Samsung processing got a big boost picture is looking great.

I'm curious how this TV handles motion as compared to an LG OLED. I have a C9 and love the picture quality, but I've never been impressed with the way it handles motion. There are a lot of artifacts around fast moving object, which can be very distracting. Do you see any of that with a QLED, like this one?

Nice video.. It would be great if you could do a video testing the game mode. To check and see how local dimming is working in it, the black levels and so on. Also when doing that, do the same with VRR and check local dimming. So both "modes" want to see how the TV handles it. Could also when inside a game try to check for inverse or normal ghosting and if backlight is really slow in transitions from dark to light. Then of course do some demos in dark room so we can see how it handles black bars and haloing that could happen.. Finally especially do a comparison with QN90A that you own. It would be really useful and a great way for everyone to actually see what has improved, or not. Looking forward to more videos.. Great job 👍

Dynamic is the worst color profile you can use. I suggest you use Movie mode it is generally the most accurate one

As an isf level 3 calibrator, I'm very skeptical that you can get a reference quality calibration with a phone in 7 minutes. Especially with the right equipment samsung is a pain to calibrate as it is. Great content as always 👍 👊

Hey Dwayne, exactly can't get the Isf level calibration with phone in 7 to 10 minutes. It is like handy man work vs a professional doing stuff in your house. You get it done but not 100%. Calibrators work hard to get us the reference level calibration spending hours with professional meters and pattern generators.

Yes that is not likely.. But if a professional can get it down to 1 or 1.5 De and the phone can get it below 3.0 That would be good enough for most people. It's below perceptible levels or error. Many people would even want to crank colors a bit and mess with black levels which would make them inaccurate but they like the "punch". So people that kind of want a more 'correct' image but don't want to splurge hundreds of dollars on a pro calibration or buy the tools. Being able to maybe at least get it to better correction levels with just a phone. Well that's kind of cool. I am also sure that as time goes by with better phones and software those phone calibrations would improve.. I find it a cool feature, even if it is minimal, it's better than nothing.

If your ultimate yoal is watching movies then A90J. Color accuracy closer to reference is with Sony out of the box even without calibration. LG C1 or C2 will be great options as well with some professional calibration as LG is more easier to get to calibrated reference levels with Calman. Samsung I will recommend only for living rooms where you watch TV shows and mostly TV networks with static logos and given that if you have really bright room with big windows with sunlight exposure

OLED is not film-like? LOL. It is literally the absolute best for movies. However LCD with Mini LED backlighting like QN90B is very very good as well. OLED will always win in the dark, QN90B wins in the daytime.

Well auto update is a bad idea, their latest 1405, completely screwed the audio on my Q900R and they don’t allow downgrading firmware, so I recommend not doing auto update just research issues before you update, how you equate that to conspiracy theory is reaching a bit🤣

As far as I know they both are equally brighter, but one is 4K and other is 8k with more dimming zone and better black levels because of more dimming zones.

Hi great review I am a little confused about your comparison with last years model and dolby atmos, I have the 2020 q90t and use hdmi 4 for my series x and send audio back to receiver from hdmi3 earc and I get dolby atmos from netflix prime Disney and xbox show up perfectly on av reveiver, So surely the 2021 model should be the same, What the tv does do is only show atmos on netflix if you have a compatible device connected through the earc unless it's different in your region of course

I was talking about TV apps. Last year models did not have Dolby atmos for TV apps. You could connect receiver and get dolby atmos but not from the TV apps.

To samsung qn90b , on 1430.1 firmware , the motion looks too smooth , even with motion settings disabled. In Filmmaker mode, this problem is also present. To firmware 1310.1 motion was verry good for movies . In menu service what is the diferences between those two firmwares , to the motion and bfi settings ?

Great video👍. I really want this TV since it's only $999 in my area for a 55 inch and the features it has of its price is phenomenal. I heard Samsung is shifting away from QLEDs sometime this year and into next year and moving on to their OLED lineup but I always wanted an OLED but I always had concerns about future image retention or burn ins and manufacture warranties not covering it. So the good thing about these QLED compared to OLEDS, it has great color accuracy, amazing brightness and contrast, much more affordable and more reliable. Thinking about getting this TV. Does it have deep blacks and good picture quality for movies and games? How's the response of the UI menu navigating through apps? sometimes I heard the older Samsung TVs with the Tizen, had a little bit laggy moments of navigating and having to press the buttons on the remote multiple times to respond when navigating so hopefully this TV improved with that.

Got lucky with the tv panel I see. I got one with over a dozen dead pixels and yellow vertical strips, the replacement they install had about a dozes dead pixels, Still waiting for the 3rd panel and for them to install it. It's a nice tv, but Samsung does not test the displays before they are shipped.

i have both QD-OLED S95B 55" and QD-90B and i really get sad by S95B HDR-Gaming performance sometimes its so dim that even dark room wont work so for HDR-gaming i reccomand QN90B and for tv S95

QN95A owner here, worst problems with "A" model were dimmed specular highlights due to aggressive LD (local dimming), slow LD reactions it's really noticeable with subtitles and within games, if you move fast from a dark point of view to a bright one and washed out colors especially when LD is set to High. First panel came with 10 plus dead pixels, second one with horrible vertical banding on the left side. Both send back, am waiting for a change approval and am in-between trying a 3rd (and last) panel or going to OLED side with a C1. Sure, as a Samsung user, i'll miss the brightness (which is way lower than an OLED when it comes to specular highlights as i mentioned above) and some of these -sweet- Tizen features but in the end, you are buying a TV and the most important part, is the picture quality.

Thanks for the feedback. I will be looking at that in thorough testing. Haven't spent much time yet to form an opinion about it yet. But I agree with my QN90A had similar issues.

@@MyGadgetsWorld If i remember correctly, you were the one who was pointing most (if not all) the problems last year, when you were comparing a CX against the 90A. Keep it up.🙌 By the way, 90B seems improved on the specular highlights. I wonder if it's an algorithm fix or a hardware, if it's the algorithm, then maybe last year 9xA models will also get it (i doubt though).

Qn90a also supported Atmos via passthrough. So if you have AVR or Soundbar and connect using Arc, the Atmos work fine for inbuilt apps. It only did not work for TV speakers. Who's listening to Atmos via TV speakers anyway

The QN90B is everything that the QN90T and the QN90A should have been since we here in the USA didn't get the QN95T and the QN95A in 2020 and 2021 respectively. Now that the QN90B have 4 full 2.1 HDMI inputs,we will also get the QN95B which is the true 4k flagship television for 2022.

I was thinking about getting a bigger screen 75 inch but I'm still good with my 2016 4k 65 inch tv that I bought for 500 euro 2 years ago secondhand. It used to be 5000 and still has 3D. All these VRR, HDR10, HDMI 2.1 Vsync is all marketing talk, just give it a good calibration.
