Just a FYI, don't select the CN warehouse, it's been out of stock forever, they seem to have it in the other warehouse. I placed my order on Feb 28th with the CN warehouse and was still waiting for it as of April 29th. So yesterday I canceled it and reorded with the new code and used the other warehouse. Guess we will see what happens, not very confident with Banggood right now with Fimi products.

Can you transfer the files wireless from the drone to your phone? Any difference between photos/videos there? DJI let you transfer all photos but only 1080p video or lower resolution. Do you know the limits of Fimi X8?

How did you manage to create such light colurful videos?! I just received my FIMI and i live in Spain - so conditions are pretty much same as in video - my footage turns out quite dark compared to yours, even in full sunny days. Tried filming towards sun and away from it, but don't come anywhere near your video of the tower - simply amazing!

Fantastic review, and great footage! I just got my FIMI X8 last week - i have a small issue with the 4K/30fps video quality though. The flow in the quality i see is not as smooth as your footage - may i ask which memory card you were using while shooting the footage of the tower seen in this video? Thanks a lot man!

So you can fly without a phone, but is there a GPS/RTH button when not using a phone? Also if direct plug into any Android phone, does the phone need to be 802.11ac or is just a direct software link via the transmitter?? My phone is not 802.11ac hence the question.

Yes all up to date before flying it. I always check at the time of the video firmware for drones, phone and anything.

Wondering what the of machine you would recommend? I am a very basic flyer that preferres to fly in headless mode. Have a budget if around €650? I ended up getting a highly rated drone on an offer to good to refuse. £225 for a Hudson 501s Advanced. 9 quad batteries, 2 controller batteries, a spare patch and a spare communication antenna, 2 bog standard balance chargers and one big Pro type charger, 6 sets of props, advanced upgraded fpv controller, big hard carry case/backpack, lipo safe carry pouches, 32gig SD card, brushless motors and other bits and bobs. All brand new and never used. Range of about 3 miles at most and in best conditions. About 20 minute flight time, or 35 when using a twin battery set up (which it's quite happy to do). 1080p recording, return to home, auto low battery landing, follow me, GPS co ordinated on screen if you lose it to help you find it. So, as you can see, quite a good I think?

If anyone is having problems connecting their phone to the controller, try a different USB cable than supplied in the box. Mine would not connect with the short 90deg cable supplied, only charge would work.

No real alternative, maybe the Mi Drone 4k but this is better. If you need to the sensors the Mavic 2 Pro has them all. If you plan on tracking yourself and you'll have trees and building around the Mavic's at least have front collision avoidance.

It only took a few days once I reordered with BG it shipped I was shocked as there had been huge stock issues since Novemeber, I first had it ordered with gearbest but they never seem to get stock so gave up and used Bangdood.

Great video, some beautiful shots there! I disagree with you on how important obstacle avoidance really is. If you were to fly in follow me mode totally relying on obstacle avoidance I'd think that's a bit risky anyhow. If you have taken the time to look at the surroundings and the available space without obstacles, you can perfectly fly in follow me mode.

WOW, the camera is amazing! I own Parrot Anafi drone. It's amazing. I went to the Philippines. My brother-in-law bought it. I don't have any drone now. I'm looking for a new one. Is Fimi better than Anafi? I don't need obstacle avoidance.

Hi, Great video.... Looks like a nice machine for the money. Just a quick point on maximum altitude in Spain. The maximum altitude is 120m not 200m. I noticed that the app defaulted back to 120m after you changed it to 200m so no real problem anyway. Anyway, keep up the good work. :-) David

Yes my error, but as you saw in the video it doesn't save it or allows it. It went back to white, reverted to 120m. And I never went over 30m in this video and really ever do.

@@cashcash6939 Man, believe me - it is a waste of money. One crash and gimbal or front leg is broken. The signal is poor. The Camera is awful. The drone is made from thin plastic as if it was a happy meal toy!

Nice review, The fimi having the battery mount from the top is a way better design than the bottom mount on the DJIs.
