As a color blind content creator and artist, having peace of mind that the monitor was calibrated can help just that little bit more asking friends if colors in a project look correct. Fingers crossed. I'm sure the winner will have a great start to the year with this

Honestly, when you're looking at buying any form of technology there's always so much to consider. This is why channels like this are always so helpful, especially if you're not tech savy. As an amateur photobug, I've always had a peeve about digital photography, in terms of sharing it digitally with others. I can take the most amazing photo, with all of the colors, shading, and exposure perfect. The shot that needs zero adjustment. Then I send it to friends and they look at it on their $49 Walmart special monitor and comment or ask questions like, "Why is it so dark?", "Why is the sky that greenish color?", or "Too bad it's blurry." Grrr. C'est la vie.

04:15 Currently is hard to find a browser that is not color management enabled. And the devices… the mobile phones are aiming for DCI P3, TVs - Rec.709 or Rec.2020. 08:25 Hardware calibration creates a "dummy" ICC profile in the operating system, which tells the software not to do any color adjustments and just output the color data as is, and the monitor firmware will refer to the local Look-up table to adjust the color values to get the precise visual color output. 09:40 PA32UCX-P does not come with the calibrator. Only models with K-suffix have the calibrator included in the package, so PA32UCX-PK will have the calibrator included. 10:22 As an owner of PA32UCX-K (the -P version includes a polarization filter - that is the only difference, besides the colorimeter included with -K; I wanted to purchase PA32UCX-P or -PK, but our importer refused to order that model, so I had to go with PA32UCX-K - the one and only sample sold in Ukraine is mine :)) I should mention that by paying your $4000+ for ASUS PA32UCX, you become a beta-tester of the IPS mini-led professional-grade displays. These models lack support and firmware updates. The latest firmware (dated back to April 2020 (and the only firmware update from the date of PA32UCX release in 2019)) is far from perfect in terms of the visual issues. The hardware won't let you have HDMI 2.1 - it is limited to HDMI 2.0b and DisplayPort 1.2. So you either get 4k@60fps + 10bit with DisplayPort or you'll get a pretty messy implementation of DolbyVision at 4k@
