Getting these put up does take a bit of work, but the end results are amazing! What lighting set are you going with?

I am actually going to try to install these around my restaurant as well as on my sign. Which one of these were the best in your opinion. Durability but also pricewise.

I think the Lights 2 or the Pro option would look really good with its ability to have the warm lighting option for standard lighting during the year. The Lights 2 will be the best value.

If buy the 100' outdoor lights 2, does it come with 1 100' cord of lights or does it come with 2 50' cord of lights? Reason I ask is because I'll need to "jump" from 1 story to the 2nd story on my house.
@TechWithBrett
@TechWithBrett 14 күн бұрын
The 100' Lights 2 comes with 6 different 16.5' lengths and 2 12' and 2 4' extension so that you can make the jump to the second story.

Did the Pro's really not look as bright and vibrant as the 2 or was it just the house coloring? I thought I was all in for pro but don't show as well as the 2's.

I think because we ended up putting the Pro model at the end of the soffit it didn't reflect as bright on the house but they are definitely brighter. Also the pros don't have has many lights per string as the 2s so that they aren't too over powering but probably came through as not as bright on video.

I'm a big fan of Govee products, my most recent being the TV backlight T2 which is amazing. Unfortunately I stay UK, Scotland to be precise and these would completely stick out in my cul-de-sac. The only days I'd get full use of them would be Halloween and the lead up to Christmas. As sad as it is but having these ON, even on a reduced setting would attract the wrong attention, now if the gun laws were to change here then I'm sold on them. I do want them though but will have a think. Good video thanks.

Be a trend setter.... You could just use a few of the lights for added security without lighting up the neighborhood.
@David-ec2qp

@@jcm9698 Nah mate I think I’m good for the security, I think 4 IPCams, 3 Security lights, 2 Motion sensors, a blink doorbell and full intruder system is enough. Sometimes too much is just too much and as attractive as it looks it won’t fit in. Anyway it would be a waste to only use it as reduced generic lighting. A real shame as my family love the T2 TV backlights. 🇬🇧

Im using these for accent white lighting only. Im stuck deciding between 6000k potlights vs govee lights.

We love having the accent lighting be able to cover the entire house. I also have white pot lights and I wish I had do much more of those.

@@TechWithBrett so you prefer standard potlights for accent lighting purposes over govee accent lighting?

I like having the Govee that is able to cover all corners of the home. Here is what I did with my pot lights to give an example to compare the Govee to. kzbin.info/www/bejne/r5azo2iGorN4bpo

I just bought a govee pro (19.5" between lights) my plan is to install them 14" apart and just cover the loose wire in between.. have you ever seen like this set up before or its just me so far? I want to use more light as possible instead of cutting all the eztras. My space to install is about 80ft and I bought 100ft and don't want to cut the whole 20ft excess light and use at least few of the extras. Do you see any issues? Or it would be a better lightings coverage? Please let me know your thoughts. Thank you
@TechWithBrett

Great question. Are you planning on putting them close to the house or at the edge? I was actually thinking about this way (after I finished this install) and thought it might be a good way to hide the cable in some of the cover pieces and secure it more. The hardest part would be making the lines coming out of the LED be flush and hidden but it might just work. Some of the edges might not let you move the cable under that far. Making them be closer would be pretty bright but you can always lower the brightness a bit. I would just do some extra testing and measuring before committing to it.

@@TechWithBrett yes, i was planning to put them 4" away from the wall as recommended by govee so triangle effect will be visible in the night when they're on. I bought a wire hider to make sure the loose wire of each light will be covered. Thank you for your input.

One thing I'm disappointed with my Govee outdoor permanent lights is there really is no purple color. Just pink. 😢
