Dit is echt top! Tijdens de pauze van E-Live 2024 op zaterdag 19 oktober hebben we even gesproken en ik heb je 15 minuten zien spelen tijdens een kort optreden, dit is echt super. Zoals je zei, ben ik begonnen met VCVRack.... wat een mogelijkheden!

This is quite an art in itself. You sure know your way around those modules. It's always a good idea to work around a melody though. These days all of this is done with computers. To see someone operating old school synthesizers, is special. Thank you

@@pietergoussard289 Thank you! 🙏🏻 I really appreciate that. For me computers are just no fun to watch. I’ve been to shows where I looked at a man hidden behind a laptop. Zero show there. And with computers (I do use them at my studio) I really miss the tactile feel of the musical instrument. That’s one of the things I like most about modular: it is a real instrument that needs someone to play it.

What kind of instruments are those?

@@tyonhyundai2424 It’s one big modular synthesizer containing many modules, each with their own specific function. I use the KeyStep Pro by Arturia to control it all and to be able to play musical notes and run sequences and arpeggios.

@@earodeafchild I’m still trying to make it more fun to watch, that’s why I have these interludes where I improvise on the keyboard. But in my opinion it beats watching someone sitting behind a laptop. 😊

@@tectonia2605 We did a show recently, where the artist was set in the middle of the room with the audience sitting in a semi circle near him. They could see the blinking lights of the modular system and it was very captivating for them! My guess is that the stage really sets the audience and the artist apart and they feel a little disconnected. Great set, regardless! Much love and congrats!!
