You have a great narration voice! Good video demonstration of everything encompassing a multi-day of backpacking. Perfect combination of trail visual and personal commentary. Looking forward to following you on more of your hiking adventures.

Very well done! I like the geology information you added. I hiked the trail in the fall of 2020 and really enjoyed it. It was interesting to see it in the spring with all the wildflowers. I did the trail south to north so I could get the out and back part out of the way and not be faced with having to chose whether to do it after already hiking 40 miles. :-)

It was tough to do the out and back after a long day! Glad I ended up doing it though. I'll definitely be back to do the trail NOBO. Thanks for watching!

Very well done! Enjoyed it! Informative. We were the group you ran into, and the reason you had some trail magic! Glad to see you got your video out. Hope you do the Knobstone ! Let us know, and maybe we can arrange that trail magic again! Ginger with WHHB.

Nice video! I really enjoyed some of the geology content. As a person interested in history and geology and science in general, I really enjoy when folks mention that stuff. I don’t think a lot of people realize the immensity of time and of the processes involved. Well done 🤙

I'm glad you enjoyed the geology bits! My background is in geology and I intend to spend more time explaining what I find in future videos. You're exactly right that it's hard to imagine the immensity of time. Thanks for watching!

Thank you so much for the kind words! Check out my more recent stuff if you have the time. I like to think I've improved somewhat over the last year. But still so much to learn when it comes to making videos :) Take care!

Very nicely done. I enjoyed watching it, we'll have to catch up for a hike if you can stand having a 45 year old anchor slowing you down!

While in New England, you have to check out Acadia National Park North and South Bubble, I would love to hear you explain how those round rocks got there. While at Acadia, you have to do the Precipice trail. Also, you have to do Franconia Ridge trail in NH.

I've actually been there as a kid on vacation with my family. But Savannah hasn't been yet so we're definitely making a trip there!

@max.wright Жыл бұрын
I hope you'll get the chance once you're healed up! It's a wonderful trail. I've not done the Knobstone yet but it's on the list for when I'm back in Indiana. I'll definitely record that hike as well!

Nice overview of the trail. I’m thinking this will be my first adventure of 2024. I’m curious about the battery pack you brought with you. How many mAh capacity was the unit? Also, did you see any ticks out there?
@max.wright11 ай бұрын
Hi! I believe I brought just an old 5000 mAh battery that actually failed in the middle of the trip (had to charge via a outdoor plug at a motel we passed on day 3 or 4). Since then, I've upgraded both my filming equipment and battery. I now carry a 20,000 mAh I found on Amazon. Ticks were not a problem for me in April. Hope you can make it out there this year. It's a gem of a trail for our state!

What all did you pack for this hike? Your pack looks lean and light. It makes me jealous really.

Just the essentials :) I was also packing an extra tent that I was giving to Ian. That was the thing under my lid on the first day

Adding the 3.6 miles to the sign and back, is that what makes it 42? Or did you do 45.6?
@max.wright Жыл бұрын
I don't have my map on hand but if memory serves me right, the official mileage does not count going back to the parking lot after the sign. So my total mileage for this trip would be closer to 45
