Here is more proof that you make turns with the placement of your upper body not by thinking of rolling your ankles over or tipping your knees. Play this in slow motion and watch what he does with his upper body as his skis finish a turn. The skis continue along their path while he places his upper body down the hill rather than allowing it to follow his skis in the direction they are going. The skis are going right while his upper body is going left. That is what creates the new leg angle that rolls the skis over. Not ankle rolling or knee tipping! You think about facing and leaning your upper body down the hill as you change your weight and balance from the downhill to uphill ski. The amount of leg angle varies based on your speed and the amount you anticipate that new turn with the re-positioning of your upper body into the new turn. That is how easy skiing is.

Can't wait to see the next great slalom race time made by a skier keeping his arms and torso tucked the whole time.

Ted uses edges and arm swing to turn rotational momentum into forward accelleration. If a person used weighted grips it would increase..just sayin'
