After attending a WWE televised event about 15 yrs back, I sat down in a local hotel lounge. I quickly realized that it was only Me, Teddy Long, and 3 wrestlers. It was surreal. Teddy sensed my nervousness and introduced himself. We talked about his early managerial roles as well as his heroin addiction. The only thing I'll reveal is one of the 3 wrestlers was on Tough Enough.

Met Teddy Backstage at a smackdown spot show in 2004. Only RVD would say hello and ONLY Teddy Long came up to me and talked to me and my mom. He talked to us for 10 or 15 minutes and asked how school was and all that. I'm sure I wasn't the only kid Teddy had talked to, but he made me feel like it... I'll never forget. T-Lo is a legend, great manager and a truly humble gentleman. He's 100% class personified.

Man....as someone who grew up with him as Smackdown GM as a pre-teen up to my late teens this is deep. This man truly put Smackdown on the map, and thats no discredit to the amazing roster to boot. That roster even with the drafts was stacked. The matches, the fueds/rivalries, the tag teams were top tier, everything was almost perfect. Thank you Teddy Long for so many great memories.

There was another instance where Ric snuck a bunch of groupies into the arena and when security questioned him, he said that Teddy approved them entering. He knew nothing about it. Olé Anderson was racist toward Teddy too-- he yelled out the N word in front of a full auditorium in Elberton, Georgia The carnys back then drank way too much and acted like fools. There were no phones or social media, these guys can't get easily called out on their BS.
